Recently, we had the honor of celebrating Dr. Margaret Wilson as she concluded her time seeing patients at Northeast Missouri Health Council—capping an extraordinary career that began in 1985.

A board-certified family physician with a deep commitment to community health and preventive medicine, Dr. Wilson served as NMHC’s Medical Director from 1989 to 2012. In addition to her clinical leadership, she spent more than 20 years as Chair of Family Medicine, Preventive Medicine, and Community Health before going on to serve as Dean at KCOM-ATSU.

Even beyond her leadership roles, her dedication to patients never wavered—continuing to provide care at NMHC as a volunteer through March 2026. Her impact reaches far beyond the patients she treated, extending to the students she mentored, the providers she guided, and the communities she helped strengthen.

More than 40 years of service. Countless lives impacted. A legacy that will continue to shape healthcare in Northeast Missouri for years to come.

NMHC and Memphis CHC have donated two AEDs to the community - available at City Hall and the Scotland County R-1 athletic complexes. These devices provide critical support during cardiac emergencies and give our community life saving equipment.
