Now a proud partner of Center for Human Services, Chariton Valley Association is a private, non-profit organization established in 1982 in Kirksville, MO by a group of parents of children with developmental disabilities who recognized a need for local services. Chariton Valley Association has a proud history of providing high quality residential and non-residential support services to individuals with developmental disabilities in Northeast Missouri-primarily in Adair County.

Registration is now open for the Adair County SB40 Developmental Disability Board 17th Annual Community Engagement Conference! 🙌 📣

This free conference will take place on March 19th from 8:30 AM to 2:30 PM at Crossing Church in Kirksville, with a full schedule of engaging sessions planned. Our Director of Employment Services, Sabrina Selvey, will be one of many speakers at the event, discussing job exploration for individuals with qualifying disabilities. 💼

Comissa's coffee group recently enjoyed some Friday fun with a giant game of "Chutes & Ladders" while also learning sign language! 🎲🤟

Comissa hosts a coffee group every Friday from 1:15 PM - 2:30 PM, bringing together individuals we serve to enjoy a variety of activities. From supporting the local community to exploring new hobbies, the group aims to foster connections with everyone! 🌟

You're invited to our 20th Annual Thanksgiving Community Dinner! 🦃🍽️

Join us on November 20th from 11:00 AM-1:00 PM at Hamilton Street Baptist Church to enjoy food, share stories, and enjoy this wonderful gathering of friends and family in the community!

This event will be dine-in only and doors will not open until 10:45 AM. We look forward to seeing everyone next week for this special event! 🧡

Chariton Valley Association, proud partner of Center for Human Services - Missouri, hosted its Open House event last week to celebrate the newly expanded program office! 🎉

The event consisted of a ribbon cutting put on by Kirksville Area Chamber of Commerce, a Business After Hours with Dukum Inn, tours of the new space, and networking with officials and local community members.

Thank you to our community for coming together to make for a wonderful evening of showcasing our expansion, as well as, services and programs we offer for local individuals and families! 💙🤝
