Are you an active body, athlete or parent of an athlete (that spends a lot of time driving and/or sitting at practices)? Once fall sports season commences, is it hard to get on your mat? Learn a functional approach to yoga emphasizing adapting poses and movement patterns to meet the needs of those of us who are hard on our bodies and could use a quick go-to sequence when time is tight.

Join Namaste instructor Becky Meinhardt for this workshop offered on Labor Day, Monday, September 1, 2025 from 3:00-4:30pm. This 90-minute session will include 10-12 poses to improve flexibility and mobility, which in turn will help prevent injury, aid in recovery and up one’s game. We will explore the poses, adapt them to meet individual needs and top it off with a brief 10-minute flow for mental clarity and focus. All are welcome and a resource detailing the poses, adaptations and flow shared for future reference and use.

Bring a yoga mat, something to take notes with and a goal-oriented mindset! The cost is $35 to attend. Sign up at the link in bio 🖤

Join Julie on August 2 to celebrate the transitional season of late summer with a 90-min yin sequence focused on balancing the Earth element within our bodies. Late summer is a needed pause following the active Summer and preceding the seasons of letting go and resting, Autumn and Winter.

This sequence is designed to help balance digestion and promote inner peace and mental clarity. We will end the yin practice with a meditation designed to promote physical relaxation and inner peace.

Late summer coincides with the Earth element which is about grounding, nourishment and security. We are rewarded with the Earth’s bounty and sweetness at this time of year. This season asks us to reflect on how we digest - food, emotions, experiences - and transform that into productive, usable nutrients and energy.

Yin yoga practice includes long-held passive asanas, which apply stress to deep connective tissues. This practice stimulates the facial network, increasing range of motion and strength in the joints and ligaments.

Yin also stimulates the meridian lines where Qi (prana) flows through. It is thought that when there is stagnation or blockages to this flow of Qi, specific yin postures can be practiced to free the flow of Qi again. This freedom is vital for health and longevity.

This is a slow practice, inviting us to take time to be with ourselves - without the external noise. Sign up on the Namaste app or website.
