It takes 2-3 years to even get close to building a book, unless your working your butt off to promote yourself online or working in a crazy busy salon. Even then your skills need to be crazy good and customer experience needs to be top-notch. Take the time to work on your skills and crush your customer experience. It’s also okay not to know anything.

So many questions to ask during the awkward first date as a new client…..list goes on..What do you Love about your hair, if you could add anything what would it be? Are you noticing any big changes with your hair, frizz, split ends, dryness? Do you like mousse, gel, or leave in conditioner? anything I should stay away from? Do you have allergies to anything?

Assistants, years of experience and falling down, skills, determination, willingness to look in the mirror, customer service. Are you willing to match the experience and expectations that come with that price tag? You deserve to make that much money but are you willing to get yourself there? There’s no such thing as balance at that level without others helping.
