🌡️ Why Do People Faint More in the Heat? 😵‍💫

It’s not just the sun—hot weather can cause your blood pressure to drop, making you feel dizzy or even faint. Here's why:

💧 Dehydration: You sweat more and lose fluids fast, reducing blood volume.
🩸 Low Blood Pressure: Heat causes your blood vessels to expand, which lowers blood pressure and slows blood flow to the brain.
🧠 Less Oxygen to the Brain: That lightheaded feeling? It’s your brain not getting enough oxygen.

🚨 Prevent it:
✅ Stay hydrated
✅ Sit down if you feel dizzy
✅ Avoid direct sun during peak hours
✅ Wear loose, breathable clothes

⚠️ Fainting can be a warning sign—see a doctor if it happens more than once or is accompanied by chest pain, confusion, or shortness of breath.
Stay cool, stay safe. Your health matters! 💙

In any case, if this happens more than once, or suspect there could be another reason, please come see a doctor. It's always better to check.

🚨 Pool Safety Alert for Parents! 🚨
Did you know most child drownings happen in silence and in seconds?

👶 Even a few inches of water can be deadly.
👁️ Always keep eyes on your child—no distractions.
🚫 Floaties are not life-saving devices.
🚪 Install pool alarms & secure fences.

Let’s enjoy summer safely. One moment of attention can save a life. 💙💧

Just because something is natural it doesn't mean it's good for you or won't affect your medication.
Lemons can interact with certain medications, though not as dramatically as grapefruit (which is the real troublemaker of the citrus family). Still, there are a few things to be aware of:

🚨 Possible Interactions with Lemon:
- Blood pressure or heart medications (like calcium channel blockers):
Lemon juice (especially in large amounts or in lemon water detoxes) might slightly affect how these meds are absorbed. It's not as strong as grapefruit, but caution is still smart. Always ask your doctor.

- Antacids or acid reflux meds:
Lemon is acidic, so it might worsen symptoms of acid reflux or reduce the effectiveness of meds like omeprazole or lansoprazole.

- Diuretics (water pills):
Both lemons and diuretics affect potassium levels. While lemons are high in potassium, combining the two in excess might lead to imbalance—either too much or too little potassium.

- Photosensitive drugs:
Lemon essential oil (used on the skin) can make your skin more sensitive to sunlight, which is a risk if you're also taking medications that increase photosensitivity (like doxycycline or retinoids).

✅ Generally safe in moderation:
For most people and most medications, normal dietary use of lemon (like in food or drinks) is safe. It’s when lemon is consumed in high quantities, as part of a detox or supplement regimen, or used topically, that interactions are more likely.

ASK YOUR DOCTOR IF ANY OF YOUR MEDICATIONS COULD HAVE DIETARY RESTRICTIONS
If you are starting a diet, mention all the medications you are taking to the specialist first.

What do lemons and avocados have in common?
Both are considered alkalizing when it comes to how they affect your body’s pH after digestion, even though lemons are acidic in taste and nature. This is great for your body's health.

🍋 Lemon: Acidic but Alkalizing
Outside the body: Lemon is acidic (with a low pH due to citric acid).

Inside the body: Once metabolized, lemons have an alkalizing effect, because their minerals (like potassium and magnesium) help neutralize acidity in the bloodstream.
That’s why lemons are often included in alkaline diets.

🥑 Avocado: Naturally Alkaline
Avocados are alkaline-forming foods from the start. They contain minerals like magnesium, potassium, and calcium, which help maintain a more alkaline environment in the body.

🥑🍋 Here’s more thing they have in common that are great for your helath and saily life:

Healthy fat synergy – While lemons don’t have fat, they help enhance the absorption of fat-soluble nutrients (like vitamin E and K) found in avocados due to their vitamin C and citric acid.

Antioxidant-rich – Both are high in antioxidants: avocados are rich in lutein and vitamin E, while lemons are high in vitamin C.

Used in skincare – Both are darlings of the DIY skincare world. Avocado for its moisturizing fats and lemon for its brightening vitamin C (though use lemon carefully on skin due to its acidity!).

Heart-healthy benefits – Avocados help reduce bad cholesterol, while lemons can help regulate blood pressure and improve circulation.

Kitchen staples in clean eating – Both show up constantly in healthy recipes, especially in salads, dressings, and dips.

ASK YOU DOCTOR IF YOU SHOULD TAKE IT OR NOT.
