Hello neighbors, my name is Edward Mullen and it’s with great pleasure that I announce my candidacy
for a board position with BIOB HOA. Let me tell you why I’m running, when we first laid eyes on
this community, we fell in love with it! We knew immediately this is where we were going to call
Home. •
We love it here, and like many others we have some issues that need to be addressed. These are some
issues I will be running on,
1) Transparency: No more closed-door meetings, we will create a board page where are homeowners
can see what we are working on what's being proposed and more importantly being able to vote on
anything ahead of time that effects our dues!
2) Security: 1st have another guard house on the residence side to stop the excessive damage to the
gates and arms. 2nd alleviate the long lines on the quest side of the main gate since the guests
and vendors would be able to enter through both gates.
3) Look at lowering our HOA and Club fees by 1st evaluating the amenities that are in this
community to see if that make sense to keep them or switch them to low payment for the ones who use
them. 2nd take a close look at Flip Flops to see if we really should be in the restaurant
business, we pay dearly for that restaurant, would we be better off just leasing out to another
established restaurant and collect positive income flow from the rent payment made to the
community, and stop the bleeding.
4) Remove the evasive speed bumps replace with more friendly speed humps if deemed they serve a
purpose.
These are some of the of the issues I have, and I would look forward to speaking in a positive
manner with any of my fellow homeowners regarding your concerns or suggestions.
