Did you know Foxgloves are fairy flowers? If you see a foxglove plant drooping over, it could be because there are fairies inside the flowers. And see the little dark marks inside the flowers? Those are fairy foot prints! Enjoy the lovely flowers but don’t pick them and bring them inside, you could anger the fairies, and anyone that knows of the fairies, knows not to anger them! Happy Spring! Keep an eye out for these lovely plants in your garden!

It’s soap making week at the Herbalist’s Apprentice! These four lovely soaps will be ready for sale starting June 11 at the Market Square Day in Portsmouth! Here are this month’s lovely soap scents:

Pirates Gold - a swashbuckling blend of teakwood, leather and bay rum topped with gold pearls and a hint of gold dust.
Fairy Garden - a magical arrangement of sweet pea, lavender, lily, rose and peony topped with dried rose, violet, butterfly pea flower jasmine and lavender petals as well as sugar pearls and sprinkled with silver fairy dust.
Gentle Lavender - this is a simple soap blended with the gentlest of ingredients to clean even the most sensitive skin and lightly scented with organic lavender essential oil.
Victorian Rose Petal - a delightful bouquet of rose perfumes this creamy soap and is sprinkled with dried red rose petals to add to the experience of being surrounded by an intoxicating rose garden.

Did you know that it was once thought that Elder bushes couldn’t be struck by lightning and because of that, it was encouraged to plant them next to your house? While there isn’t any lightning in the forecast, it is cold and flu season so it’s a great time to stock up on elderberry syrup!
