Leah Denese Alcorn 1970 - 2025

Leah Denese Alcorn, 55, passed away September 25, 2025, at home in Klamath Falls, Oregon, after an illness. Born January 18, 1970, in Connersville, Indiana, Leah was the beloved daughter of the late Sandra Kay Alcorn and the late William Wells Alcorn, and sister of Billy Alcorn and the late Shannon (Alcorn) Greer.

Leah leaves behind her son, Diego Brown, whom she adored, and her sister, Sherrie (Alcorn) Lovely, along with extended family and friends who will also hold her memory close, especially nieces Ashley (Alcorn) Lane and Amanda Alcorn.

Leah's life was one of warmth, spirit, and strength. She graduated from Indiana University Bloomington in May 1993 with a Bachelor of Arts in Telecommunications, a degree that reflected her curiosity and creativity. Determined and independent, Leah taught herself how to repair and maintain her own vintage vehicles, including two Volvos and a Mercedes, as well as how to restore historic homes. While she excelled at creating high-end kitchens in her renovation projects, she lived quite happily in a house with no running water in Homer, Alaska, for a time. She lived in many cities across the United States, most notably Liberty, Indiana; Bellingham, Washington; and Portland, Oregon, where she married Jonathan Brown.

She loved to cook and found joy in movement and music, whether it was biking to work, walking in the woods, or filling a room with song and dance. She rescued and cherished several dogs and cats over the years, and she lived life with energy and authenticity, treasuring even the simplest moments.

Her laughter, kindness, and passion will forever echo in the lives of those she touched. Leah will be remembered not only for her accomplishments, but for the love and light she gave so freely.

The family plans a private interment. To honor Leah's love for animals, memorials may be made to the animal welfare organization of the donor's choice.

Stephanie Blocker

Stephanie fiercely loved her family and friends. Her children were her pride and joy, and later she was so proud to become a grandmother. She was married for over 40 years to the father (James) of her two children, James Deric and Sara. She will be missed by 5 grandchildren: Isaac, Grace, JJ, Nathan, and Briana. She is also survived by her mother, Billie Joyce, two siblings, Eric and Morgana, and her nieces Tamrin and Jaclyn.

She made friends wherever she went and was involved in different artist groups across the world, but she always had a special place in her heart for her friends at Leaky Acres and the City of Fresno Water Division. She moved to Illinois about 10 years ago, and for her, that is where her heart felt complete peace and healing. She loved her "little farm" in Jacksonville, called The Swearingen Farm. She cherished her time there and all the solitude to express her creativity, but also the new friends and newly found family it provided to her.

She found treasured moments in everyday life-from the little animals that played on her property, to cooking, quilting, digging up rocks, listening to music way too loud in her car, watching the night sky, playing fetch with her pup, camping in the desert as the wind tossled her tent, making spooky decorations for Halloween, being in the solitude of the forest, painting, thunderstorms, photography, old cars, and playing Dominos with her family. She loved it all. She was so vibrant and full of life. And the world is a little less bright without her in it.

The following is something Stephanie wrote in 2000, a sort of "self-obituary."

Outside observers would probably say that my main achievements have been speedy driving and outrageous behaviors. For myself, I am most pleased and proud of in life are my children, [grandchildren], my friends, my love for the simple things (like nature, music, arts, words) and my opportunity to share them all. I've always loved to learn. Some of the most important lessons I have learned in my lifetime are: do your worst first and your best last; chaos rules-so do it now and make it fun; your children are every potential coming true.

During my lifetime I have used my imagination, sense of humor, chaos, writings, friendships, and work in a way that now I realize was helping to generate a world in which people will have a sense of awe and wonder.

The people I have felt closest in my life have been... well, I think you know who you are by now (you better know!).

One generalization I could make about the quality of my relationships with others is that I have appreciated all the diversity I've been exposed to.

If I regret anything, it's that I've been too untouchable, unyielding, deliberately distanced.

If I had known how short a time I had left to live, I would probably have spent more time helping my children [and grandchildren] develop their gifts.

I've been so very blessed... HONESTLY... to have each of you share my life with me. You've kept me young in heart and spirit. Help my children [and grandchildren] to continue finding the magic and excitement of life in my honor, please!

Promise me this, man or woman, it is not sexual harassment to put your arm over a co-workers shoulder and smile - DO IT! If you play music, write, sing, hunt, fish, ski, climb, run, paint, garden, drive fast, get crazy, or do any other of the simple treasures we are ALL gifted with, share those, too! I'LL COME BACK TO HAUNT YOU IF YOU DON'T... BELIEVE IT!!

To those people I have held on the back of my hand, you, in your arrogance, have allowed me to realize how strong I can be... for that I am obliged to thank you. I've always thrived on challenge! I only wished I could have had a more positive effect on you... for that I apologize and am truly sorry. I wished I were a more affective, instead of infective, personality. Yes, I mean infective, like some rare disease. The disease of a fun-loving, work hard, I have all I really need, kind of life.

God allowed me to enter this world in innocence, and He'll allow me to leave that way. Of that I'm sure, as sure as I am of His unconditional love... and His sense of humor. Haven't I been proof of that?

Debra "Debbie" Victor

Debra "Debbie" Victor, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loved ones, August 30, 2025. She was born on July 28, 1953, at Fort Monmouth Army Base in New Jersey, to Lucille (Witt) and Charles Nelson.

Debbie was the youngest of four children. Her brothers Rick, Randy, and Bill protected her fiercely, a bond that only grew stronger after the passing of their father while he was serving in the U.S. Army. Together, they built their lives around an extraordinary family nucleus in Klamath Falls, where love, loyalty, and resilience were the cornerstones of daily life.

In 1972, her life changed forever the day she met William "Bill" Victor-a moment of instant and undeniable connection. Their love story blossomed into a lifelong partnership built on faith, laughter, and devotion. Together, they raised two daughters, Mandy and Billi, and built a family rooted in compassion, loyalty, and unconditional love.

Debbie gave generously of her time and talents to her community. She volunteered for many years with Klamath Falls City Little League, where she became a friendly and familiar face, cheering on countless kids from the sidelines. She also dedicated over 32 years of service to Klamath Falls City Schools, where her hard work, kindness, and steady presence left a lasting impact on students and colleagues alike.

Debbie is survived by her husband Bill, her daughters Mandy (Warren) Mitchell of Palmer, Alaska and Billi Victor of Klamath Falls, and her cherished grandchildren: JJ Hughes (fiancée Saydee), Jacob Hughes, Ruthie Mitchell, Almaira Mitchell, Honna Mitchell, Charlie Mitchell, and Shaylee Wright. She was also blessed to welcome a great-grandson, Casey, who brought her immense joy. She has countless nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and many cousins who all mean the world to her. Debbie was preceded in death by her parents, Lu and Charles, and brother Rick.

Those who knew Debbie will remember her as the steady center of the family-a woman whose love was both fierce and tender, whose faith carried her through life's challenges, and whose joy could light up even the darkest day. Her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchild were her pride and joy, and she never missed an opportunity to remind them of how deeply they were loved.

She leaves behind not only her family, but also countless friends who were touched by her warmth, humor, and generosity. While her presence will be deeply missed, the legacy of her love will carry on in every life she touched.

A celebration of Debbie's life will be held September 20, 2025 at Wiard Park starting at 10am. In lieu of flowers, the family invites donations to Operation School Bell.

We wanted to share a journey we have been on adopting Sammie, a little yorkie whose mom passed away last year. We partnered with Bristol Hospice in Klamath Falls to allow Sammie to stay with his mom until her passing - we then brought him into our family. Eugene "Gene" Keough

Eugene "Gene" Lomont Keough (Sharrar), 68, passed away July 2, 2025 after a 7-month battle with pancreatic cancer.

Gene was born May 20, 1957, to Jack Paul & Shirley May (Thedick) Keough in Oakland, California. They divorced; Shirley remarried & Gene's family moved to Oregon around 1965. Where he attended Altamont Elementary & Klamath Union High School, class of 1975.

Gene started working at Weyerhaeuser in 1975. He married Lori Gallery in 1979 they had two children. They started a detailing business "Dr. Detail". He loved cars and making them beautiful. His real passion was inventing, he wanted to be like his grandfather, who invented some of the machinery at Weyerhaeuser. He had ideas to put lights in tennis shoes in the mid 1980s. Even submitted the idea to one of the TV ads, as to which he never got a reply. Then he started seeing them turn up in children's shoes in the early 1990s

He realized in the early 1990s he was not adopted by his 1st stepdad, he was known up until then as Gene Sharrar. He went back to his birth last name Keough at that point.

Gene & Alyse met up at the Klamath Kruise in June 1995. After 5 years together, they were married June 3rd, 2000. He raised her son as his own, from day one. They loved to travel to the sunny climates, travelled anywhere there was a beach. Puerta Vallerta, Cancun, Maui, Kauia, Acapulco, Cabo San Lucas & more.

Gene had more ideas for inventing, came up with the Enviro-Core, a toilet paper roll that dissolved in the toilet. This time he went through a local invention company. Had a preliminary patent. Unfortunately, the invention company went under & he lost rights to it. Now that invention is being used in Europe.

Third time is the charm. Gene was awarded 4 patents on his various designs of the Drill Paddle. Drill Paddle was also awarded a Trademark about 2 years ago. Around 2012 he started selling his homemade Drill Paddles on eBay, then moved up to Amazon. Drill Paddles have become so popular that now they need to be manufactured to keep up with the demand.

Gene loved tinkering in the garage, repairing stuff, building things. His dream came true when we purchased our current home and he was able to build his shop.

Gene was preceded in death by his parents, stepdad Cliff Turner, Grandparents John & Augusta Thedick.

Survived by his wife, Alyse (Barnum) Keough, Daughter April Keough, grandson Beau Brattain, Sons & Daughter in laws, Christopher & Tabitha Keough, Robert & Kate Barnum. Bonus kids Jake Graham, Jeremy Scrogham, Michelle Barns. Aunt-Betty Camner, Cousins- Emerald Lopez, Crystal MacDougal, and Isaac Camner. Stepsisters-Randi Eklund & Lynn Reyes. Best friend- Greg Stine. Father-in-law, TJ Barnum, Mother-in-Law, Andrea Anderson, Stepfather-in-law, Mike Baldwin. Not to mention so many wonderful friends he made over the years.

Celebration of Life will be on July 20, 2025 between 5-8pm. Located at the Whiskey Bent Saloon 617 Main St. Klamath Falls. All friends and & family please come & share memories with us.
