SUPPORTING OUR PATIENTS DURING COVID-19
Klamath Surgery Center is resuming some elective outpatient surgeries starting May 4, 2020.
Patient and employee safety is always our first priority. In addition to the regular safety measures we have in place additional steps will be taken in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
We will not schedule any patients who present any high-risk criteria. We are screening patients before visits and monitoring their health prior to surgery as part of the pre-operative procedure. We will call patients the night before to ask COVID-19 screening questions. Patients need to wear a protective covering over nose and mouth, such as a cloth mask. Patient family members/escorts will be asked to wait in their cars during procedures unless they are needed to assist patients. They will be called to pick up patients at the front door or the designated pick-up area and will be given discharge instructions then.
All staff will undergo daily temperature checks and screenings for symptoms of illness. Surgical team and business staff will wear surgical masks at all times.
