*NIGHT TO SHINE CANCELLED*

After much consideration, the Klamath Falls Night to Shine Committee has made the difficult decision to cancel tomorrow’s Night to Shine event, due to the ongoing inclement weather in our area and safety concerns for additional weather/storm conditions for the days to come.

This decision was not easy, as countless hours of volunteer time and many donations from community members have gone into making this event possible. However, the safety of all guests and volunteers is Night to Shine’s upmost priority.

The Klamath Falls Night to Shine Committee is working hard to contact every guest and volunteer via email and phone to let them know about the cancellation. Please help spread the word if you are able.

The Klamath Falls Night to Shine Commitee looks forward to planning this event again next year.

This year has offered many, many challenges, but also some amazing blessings.

Being able to work in this capacity, for Kevin & I, is a dream come true. We have been blessed with the opportunity to support parents like us, and individuals like our son.

We see you. We hear you. We know the struggle, stress and heart ache that comes with not only being a special needs parent, but being an individual living with a disability.

We will always do our best to meet your needs…because we have been in a spot where no one would help us and it affected my mental health profusely. I don’t ever want to see individuals we strive to support experience that kind of mental & emotional strain.

The saying “it takes a village” is absolutely valid. IMPACT of Oregon focuses on family and the needs of the I/DD population. We know this, as our son has been a customer of IMPACT of Oregon for 3 years now.

That is why when kevin & I were given the opportunity to open and run the Klamath Falls office, it was an IMMEDIATE yes, without hesitation.

We knew we could support the I/DD population in Klamath the way it needed to be supported and we could make a difference in delivery of services, because we have not only professional experience, but lived experience as well.

IMPACT of Oregon Klamath Falls wishes all our families & friends a happy holidays and all the best in the coming year.
