HAPPY NEW YEAR ALL!!!
Happy New Year and congratulations for making it through the hellish labyrinth of 2020!
After an end of year struggle with a case of COVID-19, I’m back on my feet and back in the Looking Glass workshop to put out more of our salves in our original scents and a few new ones as well. I’m working on a few new items as well. I’ll soon be coming out with hand made soaps flavored with organic ingredients and essential oils and some new incenses that are scented with herbs that correspond to the different Pagan Sabbats. I’ve still got my salves and jewelry available on my Etsy site and will, soon, be selling on Amazon as well. Stay tuned for more info.
As I was doing my New Years tarot reading I came to the realization that, while 2021 was a brand new year full of all different kinds of possibilities and the potential for success, the new year doesn’t bring these things without some work on my part. In previous years, I believed that, in a brand new year, the things that I wanted and the dreams that I had would magically appear when they were supposed to. As I was meditating on the new year however I think it really hit me that, unless I’m willing to put the energy out and do the work for what I want to see manifested in my life, it likely won’t just appear. Now, of course there are some things that happen that way and I in no way wish to stifle the idea that magic happens and sometimes, simply being in the right place at the right time is all you need to make a dream come true. But I think Balance dictates that we as people who wish to see our dreams manifest into our real lives, have to be willing to meet the universe halfway. Not only does this concept work in terms of manifesting what you want in your life, but this extends to the desire for healthy relationships, healthy minds, bodies and souls.
For me, not wanting to do the work to manifest what I want in my life comes as much from a fear of succeeding as it does from a fear of failing. I hate the idea that I would put a bunch of work into something to never see it go where I want it to. That said, I’ve recently come to the realization that I am just as fearful of succeeding. Succeeding means change in my life and I, like many, don’t like my life changing dramatically. But fear, at least for me, is simply an emotion that occurs when I don’t understand something. The only antidote to that fear, is to delve in and understand it as best I can. To understand a thing is to remove the fear from it.
So, in this new year my challenge to myself and to anyone who wishes to try it, is going to be to put in the work to see the things I want in my life come to fruition. I challenge you all to work to understand the things that frighten you and do the work to see your dreams, relationships, and desires for the world around you come true.
May your day be full of balance, health and joy.
