Just a reminder…Vegans can and want to enjoy desserts for the holidays and special occasions! You simply need to use different ways to do it! I have made wedding cakes as you have seen me post on here and no one can even tell that the cakes did not have eggs or milk. To cut some of the cholesterol and fat out of a recipe I would encourage you to try one of these egg substitutes, you will be pleasantly surprised.

Cool idea! Kids today need this! 🌳

In Sweden, school lunchrooms are being transformed into calming, forest-like spaces—where the noise of clattering trays and chatter fades beneath acoustic wood ceilings and the gentle presence of indoor trees. These design upgrades are part of a nationwide initiative to improve student well-being through natural architecture. Instead of sterile cafeterias, children now eat beneath slatted timber panels that absorb echo and distribute sound evenly, lowering overall noise levels and stress.

Towering planters hold real or semi-hydroponic trees—birch, olive, or small-leaved fig—bringing the visual texture and scent of the outdoors into the school day. Soft pendant lights, shaped like stones or leaves, hang low between branches. The air feels cooler, the ambiance gentler, and mealtimes become less chaotic and more communal. Some schools even add low benches and picnic-style tables to complete the experience.

Teachers report fewer behavioral disruptions during lunch and smoother transitions back to class. Students describe the canteens as ā€œrelaxing like a park,ā€ and in colder months, the greenery offers a welcome sense of life and continuity. The combination of sensory comfort and biophilic design reflects Sweden’s growing belief that learning doesn’t only happen in classrooms—it thrives wherever young minds feel calm and connected.

This school dining shift isn’t just aesthetic—it’s emotional architecture in action.

In the Netherlands, playtime and plant life intertwine through ā€œharvest wallsā€ — vertical gardens installed along playground fences where herbs, berries, and vegetables grow at child-friendly heights. These walls aren’t just for decoration. They invite curiosity, exploration, and bite-sized nourishment.

As children swing, climb, and run, they also learn to pluck cherry tomatoes, mint leaves, or strawberries directly from the wall. There’s no vending machine or adult supervision required — just trust, nature, and tiny hands learning how food grows. Schools and neighborhoods maintain the plants together, blending lessons in ecology, sharing, and nutrition.

These green walls serve multiple purposes: shading hot surfaces, filtering dust, and introducing biodiversity to urban play zones. For many families, especially in dense city areas, harvest walls offer a rare chance for children to interact daily with fresh, living produce. The plants are seasonal, so what grows changes throughout the year — turning the wall into a living calendar kids can taste.

It’s a small intervention with long echoes. Children don’t just play — they discover. Parents don’t just watch — they join in. And green spaces stop being distant parks or restricted gardens; they become everyday walls, edible and alive.

We wonder why there is so much added weight gain nowadays. Not only is it because people arent being active enough because we can literally get everything we need with our phones while we sit, but your food is being manipulated for weight gain!
Tons of added sugar is being put in products you would never think about…
For example: Salt Packets, ā€œhealthyā€ labeled Tortilla chips and even certain Organic Dave’s Killer Bread items contain unnecessarily high amounts of sugar!
Check those labels even more closely folks because items that you thought were healthy they are now adding extra sugar, casein, whey, natural flavors(which who knows where that comes from because they don’t want to tell you what’s natural about it!)The list is long!
Just another reason that trying to grow and prepare as much of your own food as possible is absolutely a necessity for health!
Food for thought: Why do you think other countries have banned some of our items from coming into their countries? They probably read the ingredient label too. 🤨

Milkweed isn’t just a plant — it’s a lifeline.
As fall settles in and seeds ripen, this is your moment to give butterflies a future. 🌱

šŸ¦‹ Why sow milkweed now
• Cold stratification happens naturally in winter
• Spring rains awaken seeds right on time
• Monarchs return looking for milkweed first

🌾 How to scatter seeds (early November)
• Choose full-sun areas
• Lightly rake soil or press seeds onto bare ground
• Don’t bury — they need light to germinate
• Leave leaf litter as a natural blanket

šŸ‚ Plant once, support life for years.

It is a beautiful Fall day on the farm! šŸ
Just wanted to send a reminder to let you know that we will no longer be making soap for our retail locations and that currently the last of our soap is for sale at Lavern’s Country Market in South Fork in liberty Kentucky.
Sadly, I am having to scale down my business and will be making some tough decisions in the months ahead.
I appreciate all of you who have supported me. Blessings to you and your family!🄰
