As we grow, we are seeking a caring and motivated Office Assistant / Community Liaison (Volunteer) to join our mission of making a difference in the lives of others.
Position Summary:
This volunteer position is a valuable opportunity for someone looking to gain experience in healthcare administration and community outreach. The Office Assistant / Community Liaison will play a dual role by supporting the administrative operations of the agency and helping strengthen relationships with the local community, clients, and partner organizations.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist with day-to-day office tasks such as filing, organizing records, answering phones, and scheduling appointments
Support caregiver onboarding by helping with paperwork and orientation logistics
Maintain accurate documentation and client/caregiver contact logs
Help coordinate and promote community events, wellness initiatives, and resource fairs
Serve as a friendly point of contact for clients, families, and local partners
Distribute flyers and informational materials to local businesses and community centers
Assist with social media posts, newsletters, and other outreach materials
Ideal Candidate:
Friendly, professional, and passionate about serving others
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Organized and reliable with attention to detail
Comfortable with basic office technology (email, Google Docs, phones, printers, etc.)
Familiarity with community resources and services in North Carolina is a plus
Previous administrative or caregiving experience is helpful, but not required
