📚✨ Back-to-School Group for Kids & Teens ✨📚

The start of a new school year can bring a mix of excitement and stress for kids. Our Back-to-School Group Session is designed to support children and teens as they adjust to new routines, manage worries, and build confidence for the year ahead.

🗓 When: Monday, September 1st
⏰ Time: 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM
📍 Where: Our farm in Knightdale, NC

In this small group setting, participants will:
✅ Learn healthy coping skills for stress and emotions
✅ Practice social connection in a supportive environment
✅ Spend time outdoors and interact with our friendly farm animals 🐐🐴

Parents, this is a great opportunity for your child to feel supported, gain tools for success, and enjoy a calming, nature-based experience while diving into the school year. 🌿

Welcome, Katherine to Loblolly Wellness Collective! She will be out at the farm offering services afternoons, evenings and weekends.

🌿 Meet Katherine! 🌿
We’re so excited to welcome Katherine, LCSWA, to our Loblolly Wellness Collective team! Katherine provides therapy in both Spanish and English, offering care through telehealth and in-person sessions at our farm setting.

Katherine supports children and teens ages 2–18, as well as Spanish-speaking adults, using approaches like ecotherapy, DBT, attachment-based therapy, and play therapy. She specializes in helping clients navigate experiences related to culture and race, women’s issues, perinatal mental health, anxiety, depression, grief, autism, ADHD, PTSD, and parent coaching.

With her compassionate, down-to-earth approach, Katherine meets clients where they are and creates a safe, supportive space for growth and healing.

Last night we discovered that the spirit of one of our beloved horses left her earth body. She passed unexpectedly and in peace, in line with her gentle and dignified nature.

It is a wondrous thing to be present to a herd’s lament. Like they do for most everything, horses grieve collectively, together as a group. Horses bond deeply, like we do, and they experience loss like we do.

Our therapy horses are always teaching us, and in death they continue to show us the way to healing. This morning, our herd is leading us in being present: to each other, to stillness, to sadness, and to shared rituals. They are moving through rhythms of call and response, sometimes standing by side and other times positioning themselves independently—but at all times they are connected to the movement and energy of the others. Their rhythm says “I see you. I honor you. I am here with you.”

We are, all of us, on the cusp of the winter solstice—sometimes called the “longest night”—the time each year when the sun lights the day for the shortest hours and darkness is at its peak. It is a turning point. A transition. A time of releasing and restoring. After the solstice, the light grows again and we’ll follow it into a season of intention-setting, growing, and the return of everything green and newly alive.

Today, we will join our herd in simply being present. Embracing all of life, including everything that is hard. We will honor the life of a beautiful soul whose time with us matters so much, and then we will re-turn our attention to the daily life and work of Eden Farm.

We know that many of you are experiencing your own personal “longest night.” You are keeping your own vigils, your own process of turning and returning. Know that whoever you are, wherever you are, we honor your journey today too. You are seen. You are loved. Light will return 💛

Y’all. Our little baby rooster is starting to COCKADOODLEDOOOOOO and it is precious. He does not know how. It sounds like he’s asking a question. Like Simba trying to roar. Come see these sweet Silkies while they’re still in their awkward teen stage! 🥰
