Hello Everyone. I want to personally invite you to come to our $1000 Poker Run.
I am having a Silent Auction with all kinds of New and Gently Used Leather Coats for men and women. There are Chaps, Vests, Rain Suit, 22 Ammunition. This is in addition to all the other goodies. Poker Run ends at The End Zone in Sedalia. S. E. E. Y. O. U. THERE !!!

Local 33 has our own Brass Balls Award we give out to one of our Local Members each year...usually at our $1000 Poker Run. This year our Member may not be at the Poker Run but was at our Meeting on July 20th. We presented Doug Weiss with the Brass Balls Award and Patch yesterday at the meeting. Congratulations Doug‼

Definition Of A Motorcycle

Last week, Congressman Derrick Van Orden of Wisconsin introduced a bill that directs the Secretary of Transportation to update the nearly 60-year-old federal definition of a motorcycle. In recent years, a new type of vehicle has entered our roadways, commonly referred to as an autocycle. These autocycles are classified as motorcycles at the federal level but have little resemblance to a motorcycle and the operational characteristics are vastly different.

The Motorcycle Riders Foundation believes this ambiguity about autocycles has created an unnecessary patchwork of rules and regulations regarding licensing, insurance, safety statistics, registration and training courses from state-to-state.

Updating the definition of a motorcycle has been on the MRF’s legislative agenda for several years. We are grateful that Rep. Van Orden has taken the first step to address this concern. H.R. 3385 will bring the federal definition of a motorcycle into the 21st century.

There will be motorcycle riders at the front of the parade. If you want to join them, staging is at the park across from the high school on Washington Street Thursday, May 29th, starting at 5:30pm. Parade starts at 7pm. Local 33 will have a booth so if you can break free from your busy schedules to come help us with our giveaway and share motorcycle awareness, we would greatly appreciate it.
