Join us for Parenting Foundations, a 3-week series designed for parents of children ages 0-10.

Parenting Foundations offers a long-term perspective on God’s purpose in every child’s life, followed by a practical parenting framework that encourages parents to embrace their unique styles while guided by biblical truth.

We’ll explore key markers of maturity, identify six essential parenting tools available to every parent, and examine practical strategies for nurturing loving relationships, godly character, and faith.

The session includes a 45-minute teaching, comprehensive notes on the material, and small group discussions to foster deeper engagement with the content.

This series will be led by Rebekah Wilson, LCSW who provided counseling and co-directed the Biblical Counseling Center at Fellowship Church for 12 years. She pastored the community of Moms N More during this time where she developed a passion for supporting and equipping young families with parenting and marriage resources guided by biblical truth.  Trained in the integration of faith and psychology, she offers a practical approach that is both effective and transferable.

Dates: Sunday, February 16, February 23, and March 2
Time: 4pm-6pm
Location: Fellowship Church
Cost: $50 per attendee

For more information about the event or registration, please contact Rebekah Wilson at rebekah@willowspringsknoxville.org

Trauma comes in many forms. It is often difficult to find a way to get “unstuck” from the mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual effects. EMDR can be a helpful piece of the healing process.

EMDR is a psychotherapy that allows people to heal from the distressing emotions and sensations resulting from disturbing life experiences. Following extensive research and successful clinical studies, EMDR is now recognized as an effective trauma treatment by leading organizations including the American Psychiatric Association, the World Health Organization and the Department of Defense.

EMDR may help if you experience
☑️ Hypervigilance
☑️ Intrusive thoughts, images, flashbacks
☑️ Avoidance
☑️ Emotional numbness
☑️ Intense shame/guilt
☑️ Dramatic changes in perception/worldview
☑️ Reactivity/exaggerated startle responses
☑️ Changes in behavior/impulsivity

There is hope and healing for PTSD. We would love to support you on the journey to recovery.

We are thrilled to have John Randolph, LPC-MHSP join our team at Willow Springs this fall! Read more about John below and schedule with him at our website using the link in bio.

John is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC-MHSP) and National Certified Counselor (NCC) trained in addressing a wide range of problems and concerns. With experience in acute inpatient, addiction recovery, and community mental health settings, John has a knack for connecting with people with his easy-going demeanor, sincere words, and natural curiosity. In therapy sessions, John seeks to come alongside (not “give advice”), explore together (not “fix”), and understand fully (not “judge”). John most enjoys developing long-term solutions to problems (not “band-aids”). John’s heart has been influenced deeply by Jesus’ words in Matthew 11:29 - 30 in which Christ invites us to let out a long exhaleeee and rest in him amidst our exhausting lives.

From an academic perspective, John employs an integrated approach. A person-centered, trauma-informed framework combined with cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) techniques allow him to effectively treat a wide range of issues. John practices from a Christian worldview and is willing to emphasize or minimize spiritual themes based on client preference.

Before his counseling career, John worked in the information technology and retail industries following his graduation from the University of Tennessee - Knoxville in 2014 (BS in Business Management). His desire to help people in a more direct manner led him to Carson-Newman University where he graduated in 2021 (MS in Clinical Mental Health Counseling). John’s vocation aligns with his natural strengths and interests, allowing him to immensely enjoy his work.

Outside the therapy office, you will most likely find John enjoying the outdoors with his wife, watching UT sports, or hunching over a chess board.

We would love for you to join us for our October Lunch n’ Learn on 10/1! Register with the link in bio or by emailing Beth Wayland at beth@withincorporated.org.

The Bible tells us that “God’s thoughts are far above our thoughts,” and that when He looks at people He “sees their hearts, while we tend see only their outward appearance” and miss what’s really going on inside of them.  This is why God equips His people to partner with Him in transforming people’s hearts by giving us through the Bible a pair of eyeglasses or lenses to view and understand people and their hearts the way He does.  This workshop, led by Dr. Kevin Huggins, will explore and equip counselors in the many ways these biblical lenses can deepen and enhance their work with souls.
