We are so excited to introduce the newest counselor at Willow Springs Counseling Knoxville 🌿 Please join us in welcoming Karis to the team!
✨ Meet Karis ✨
Karis is a Licensed Professional Counselor who received her Master’s in Mental Health Counseling from Liberty University and has enjoyed working in private practice for the past five years. Karis loves working with individuals ages 18-99 and is passionate about the family unit. Her goal is to build a strong therapeutic relationship while providing a safe and supportive environment where clients feel seen, heard, and valued. Through biblically-integrated care, she walks alongside you as you process pain and emotions, cultivating healing, resilience, and a deeper sense of self-worth.
Karis specializes in working with those that have experienced trauma at any stage of life and utilizes EMDR and an Internal Family Systems approach to help one process and heal from their wounds. Whether you are experiencing grief, anxiety or depression, the ability to share your story can be life-changing.
Growing up on the mission field and being in full time ministry for most of her adult life has given her a unique perspective into different cultures and backgrounds. She has recently moved back home to Knoxville where she enjoys spending time with her large extended family. She and her husband have one adult son in college and 2 daughters still at home, in middle school and high school. Her favorite place is the beach and goes as often as she can.
