Happy Mother’s Day! 🌷

A time to celebrate love, nurture, sacrifice, and the many ways women show up for others. We hope your weekend holds moments of laughter, gratitude, and connection.

And we also want to gently name that this day can carry deeper layers. For some, it brings grief, distance, or unspoken longing.

If that’s you, you’re not alone in that experience.

Whether this weekend feels light, heavy, or somewhere in between, we hold space for all of it.

John is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC-MHSP) and National Certified Counselor (NCC). His approach is steady, relational, and grounded in curiosity.

When asked what he finds most meaningful in his work, John shared: “I especially enjoy working with men on anger/stress management and online integrity. I enjoy watching how growth in these areas improves self esteem and deepens relationships.”

John’s heart for counseling is rooted in the belief that growth is not about quick fixes, but long-term change that impacts how we live and connect with others.

A new month always carries a quiet sense of possibility. Not a pressure to reinvent everything but an invitation to begin again, gently.

Maybe this month is a fresh start in small ways:
• a new rhythm in your mornings
• a slower pace when you can choose it
• a little more attention to what you need

You don’t have to do it all differently.

Just notice what feels like a refreshed beginning.

Spring days are getting longer, and sometimes we carry the day’s noise with us into every moment of our day … headlines before coffee, emails on the porch, scrolling before sleep, and the list goes on.

Nothing dramatic. Just constant input.

Today we invite you into a small experiment: What if you left one moment untouched by technology?

Maybe a walk without headphones, dinner without phones at the table, or even just five quiet minutes before bed.

Not as a rule and not out of guilt. Just as a gift to your mind.

Happy Friday 🤍 As we head into the weekend, we want to gently remind you: rest is not laziness... it’s necessary.

God designed us with limits. When we choose rest, we’re not falling behind… we’re restoring our minds, bodies, and spirits.

✨ Rest helps lower stress and anxiety, lifts your mood, strengthens your relationships, and protects you from burnout.

Not sure how to truly rest? Here are a few simple ideas for your weekend:
• Unplug from social media for a few hours
• Take a slow walk outside
• Spend intentional time in prayer
• Read a book just for enjoyment
• Take a nap without guilt

Rest can be productive when it restores you.

We pray your weekend holds peace, renewal, and space to breathe. 🌿

✨ What Is EMDR Therapy? ✨

Some of our counselors recently completed advanced training in EMDR therapy, a highly effective intervention for trauma, PTSD, and chronic stress responses. We now have 6 of our team members ready to provide this service.

So, what is it? EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is a research-backed therapy designed to help people heal from trauma, anxiety, and distressing life experiences. Through guided bilateral stimulation (like eye movements), EMDR helps the brain reprocess painful memories so they feel less overwhelming and more resolved.

Longer days have a way of waking us up. ✨ As the season shifts, it might be a good time to gently reassess your rhythms.

Growth isn’t sustained by intensity. It’s sustained by margin 🌱

Instead of overhauling everything, consider one small shift:
✔️ A simple wind-down routine before bed
✔️ Less screen time in the evenings
✔️ Time outside in the sunshine
✔️ Scheduling that annual physical
✔️ Making space for play

Small, consistent rhythms support long-term emotional health.
