The “I have a housecleaner, but they didn’t do so great” starter pack. This is why we will always charge a deep clean price even though you had your house cleaned on the regular. This client had a cleaner come out this Monday to clean…..four days ago and this was throughout the entire house.

From a consumer point of view, you pay for a service that should be done right and your clients treated with care. From a business owners point of view, I want to know where else these other cleaners clean. Could be new clients 😂🤷‍♀️

Yesterday my coworker and I suffered from some moderate to severe heat exhaustion. For people who work in service industries that have to move quickly and effectively or those working outside, it is a real as well as dangerous. This is my service announcement that if your house is too hot I will charge you for a clean that you will not receive that day.

Here’s the reason behind that. I clean your house, damn near die, and then I have to potentially cancel the houses behind you as well as houses the next day for us to recover. It also puts my employees in danger, loss of income, and causes us to be sick as dogs. I understand that air conditioning is not so much keeping up, but do put it on the lowest that it will go for the time we are there. After that you can make it your terrarium for all I care in your clean house. ***Move Out Cleans***

We have been getting really busy with make ready, move out, and move in cleans. It makes my heart soar because that truly is my niche. Below will be a list of what I do and do not do when it comes to them. Let me add that make ready cleans fill my heart with joy for the home owners. They are either closing a chapter or they are opening a new one. Either way, we always feel honored that they chose us to come and help.

*Ceiling fans dusted
*Tops of door/window frames wiped
*Doors, light switch plates, baseboards, and all vanity lighting that we can safely reach wiped down.
*Inside of cabinets/drawers in the kitchen and bathroom wiped out and cleaned
*Inside/outside of refrigerator and freezer cleaned
*Oven cleaned to the best of my ability. Please read that last part. Again. Again. I do my best but it isn’t my forte
*Interior glass cleaned
*We move all appliances that we safely can move without damaging your floors
*All bathrooms, kitchens, and floors are cleaned
*Tops of all cabinets wiped where it is possible and not dangerous

What I do not do:
*Exterior windows
*Carpet cleaning
*Trash removal unless we have talked about it
*Please refer to the upper list on the oven. I do try my very very best, but I suggest turning on self clean function first.

I price by the square footage and do not always need to see the property. These cleans are done after all of our other houses, so there’s a great chance we can get you in. We are growing and sometimes that means text slip through the cracks. A lot. If I’ve missed your text or phone call, I’m very sorry. I work the front, back, and middle of this business and get overwhelmed on occasion. I started out so small that in a million years I never thought I would have this problem. Don’t get me wrong, it’s an amazing problem to have but it does come with disadvantages. Give us some grace if you can. I promise we are worth the wait!

We are not infallible. I feel like it’s important for people to know that while we are amazing, we do make mistakes. Maghann and I have cleaned this house for over 2 years. Never once did we think about lifting a toddler bed that basically sits on the ground to see what was under it. Beds in general we do get down and vacuum the dust up. But this? Not so much. Being human and making mistakes is all a part of learning and perfecting this art. We are open to constructive criticism or when we make the mistakes, we will learn from them. If you see me in your home with a N95 on, it’s not because I’m sick. I’ve been doing this work for over a decade. Over a decade of working in bathrooms with harsh chemicals that has caused me to have major, embarrassing eczema on my hands and arms. Also, lung damage to a certain extent I believe. The chemicals and fumes are not the best to breathe in and I do it five days a week 😳
So, if you see me like this don’t be alarmed. I’m better safe than sorry.
