Menopause is not just about hot flashes. It’s a cardiovascular transition. This is something I talk about with patients all the time, and it’s still wildly under-discussed.
After menopause, a woman’s risk of heart disease rises significantly. Estrogen decline affects:
- Blood vessel flexibility
- Nitric oxide production
- Blood flow and circulation
- Metabolic and inflammatory pathways
That’s why I was genuinely interested when Berkeley Life launched their new Menopause & Heart Health Support product.
Nitric oxide is one of the most important signaling molecules for vascular health, and we know it naturally declines with age—especially in women after menopause. Supporting nitric oxide production is one piece of a comprehensive longevity and heart-health strategy.
I like that this product is science-backed, focused on vascular health (not just symptoms), adn designed specifically with menopausal women in mind. Is it a replacement for hormone optimization, lifestyle changes, or medical care? No. But for the right woman, it can be a smart adjunct.
If you want to learn more about supporting heart health during menopause, this is a conversation worth having.
