💜 What’s a Certified Dementia Practitioner—and why it matters at Wellington Manor 💜

At Wellington Manor, we’re proud to share that we have two Certified Dementia Practitioners (CDPs) on our team: Jenn and Holly 🌟

A Certified Dementia Practitioner is specially trained to understand the complexities of dementia and Alzheimer’s disease.

This certification means advanced knowledge in:
• Person-centered dementia care
• Effective communication techniques
• Managing behaviors with compassion and dignity
• Creating supportive, meaningful daily experiences

Why this matters for our Memory Care residents:

🌟 February Employee of the Month: Diane! 🌟

We are delighted to celebrate Diane, our Memory Care Housekeeping Superstar, as our February Employee of the Month! ✨

Diane doesn’t just keep our spaces spotless and sparkling she weaves warmth, dignity, and kindness into every room she touches. Our residents light up when she walks in because she makes them feel truly seen, safe, and at home. From freshly made beds to beautifully cared-for common areas, Diane’s work feels less like housekeeping and more like heartfelt hospitality.

Her attention to detail keeps our community looking beautiful, but her gentle spirit is what makes it feel beautiful too. We are so grateful for her dedication, her big heart, and the love she shares with our residents every single day.

Our residents are cozying up in the front parlor today, enjoying the peaceful snowfall from the comfort of their favorite chairs beside a crackling fire. There’s something magical about watching winter drift by with a warm blanket, good company, and a steaming cup in hand. ☕🔥

If you’re out and about today, please take your time and stay safe on the roads and sidewalks. And to our wonderful Halls community, our doors are always open! You are more than welcome to stop in, warm up, and share a cup of hot coffee with us anytime. 🤍
