Attention parents to be in Knoxville, TN and surrounding areas!
Hey! My name is Brittany, doula and artist with Serenity Birth & Keepsakes . I am a mother of six and have been passionate about birth, babies and breastfeeding for as long as I can remember. After finally hiring a doula for my last birth, I knew this was where I wanted to be 1000%.
With time, dedication and at least 40 classroom hours through my certifying organization, Bebo Mia studying all things birth related, I am now in the final steps for certification which require me to attend 50 hours of birth support which will be at a discounted rate from my normal fees upon certification.
So what is a doula?
A doula:
Provides continuous physical and emotional support for the birth person and their partner
Provides support before, during and after labor
Provides planning and resources for families bringing home a new baby
Facilitates communication between the birth person and their care provider
Provides evidence based information and resources to guide families in making the right choices for them
With that, I'd like to add my experience with my own four births, breastfeeding a combined total of 9 years, having been a birth and breastfeeding support for countless friends and acquaintances over the years.. and most special to my heart was being in attendance and support for the birth of my niece, and recently labor support for two other local mamas. I'm ready and eager to help you try to have the best birth possible.
Here's where I need help.
I'm needing those support hours, whether you've already hired a doula and they wouldn't mind some back up and assistance, or are looking for a discounted price option for doula support as I finish earning my credentials, I'm willing to discuss my schedule and help growing families bring their littles earthside. My business is gender and racially inclusive.
