Dr. Brittany Clayton (née Cook), a Knoxville native, is a graduate of the University of Tennessee as well as the University of Tennessee Health Science Center College of Medicine. She gained experience in phlebology with Dr. Andrew Douglass, who opened East Tennessee Vein Clinic as the first full-time vein clinic in Tennessee in 2001. She then bought the practice from him upon his retirement in Au
gust of 2021, becoming the only female-owned phlebology clinic in East Tennessee. She is also a Registered Phlebology Sonographer (RPhS) and a member of the American Venous and Lymphatic Society. Dr. Clayton lives in west Knoxville with her husband Joseph, her stepson, and her dogs Bella and Sydney. In her spare time, she enjoys playing with both her human and canine children, as well as cheering on the Tennessee Volunteers. She loves to SCUBA dive whenever she gets the chance and has been certified since she was 12 years old! She can get lost in a good mystery or fantasy novel and is also a huge movie buff. One day, she’d like to pick back up some skills on the piano. We invite you to browse through our web site and learn about vein disease, with minimal surgery, using the most advanced technologies.
