72 years together. ❤️ Don and Suzie’s story is such a beautiful reminder of lasting love, companionship, and the joy of sharing life side by side through the years.

One of their favorite ways to spend time together is playing card games, something that has become a special tradition throughout their marriage. Whether sharing laughs over a game or simply enjoying each other’s company, the connection they share is something truly special to witness.

We are honored to celebrate Don and Suzie and the wonderful life they continue building together every day.

What an incredible first year for the Morning Pointe Top Chef competition. 🧑‍🍳🔥🍽️ The finals in Chattanooga brought together talented Food Service Directors from across the company, and every dish reflected the passion and heart these teams pour into the dining experience each day.

Presentation, flavor, creativity, and the personal inspiration behind each dish made it clear this competition was about much more than cooking. It was a celebration of the people who help make mealtimes meaningful for residents across Morning Pointe Senior Living.

Congratulations to Brittney Brown of the Lookout TN Valley Region and Morning Pointe at Happy Valley for being named the very first Morning Pointe Top Chef with her Pan-Seared Salmon Florentine! 🏆👏

We also want to recognize our incredible finalists:
👏 Kevin Horner — Bluegrass KY Region
👏 Brandon Turner — Smoky East TN Region
👏 Caletta Alsup — Cumberland Middle TN Region

A special thank you as well to our judges for helping make the inaugural competition such a memorable success.

Food changes as we age, and sometimes those changes are bigger than families expect. 🍽️💛

Appetite can shift. Cooking may become harder. Medications, special diets, swallowing difficulties, or even eating alone too often can all begin affecting a senior’s health and quality of life.

At Morning Pointe Senior Living, dining is designed with seniors in mind, from daily meal choices and specialty diet support to social dining rooms where residents can enjoy conversation, comfort, and familiar favorites together.

This week’s Understanding Senior Living blog explores why meals matter so much as we age and what families should watch for when a loved one may need more daily support.

Aging is about so much more than growing older. 💚

Older Americans Month is a reminder that seniors continue to bring wisdom, purpose, life experiences, and meaningful connections to the people and communities around them. At Morning Pointe Senior Living, we believe this stage of life should still be filled with friendships, engagement, support, and opportunities to continue thriving. 🏡🤝

As more families begin navigating conversations around aging, support, memory care, loneliness, and independence, creating strong communities for seniors matters now more than ever.
