It amazes me how people think that being healthy can come this medication, this injection, this therapist, this guru, etc. Physically most “diseases” have their roots in a nutrient deficiency, or deficiencies, and lack of physical activity. Mentally and emotionally, many still have their roots in nutrient deficiency but also in spiritual deficiency. After doing my own studying, my own trial and error on myself, and seeing how the mind, body, and soul are interconnected that they affect each other, I cannot dispute that we are an overmedicated, lazy, and hungry generation. Hungry for actual food, attention, but mostly hungry for God.

Leadership, progress, and failing all go hand in hand. We plan for progress, sometimes we experience failure along the way, but when we turn back and start over, we find the right path for success. Sometimes failure, accepting our faults, and changing direction are what it takes to be a great leader and having true progress. Like C.S. Lewis states, we fail forward to success. This is only true if we use those failures as lessons. This is for the men….. time to man up, admit of faults, accept our failures, and grow. Progress and success only come from developing the leadership skill of humility. Time to man up, about face, and get on the right track. Christian men, where you at?

Winning, what is it or what do you consider it? Be honest.... People think of winning as an end result, the prize, the destination or goal. ITS NOT! Winning is the journey, the small victories along the way that have gotten you to where you are. Celebrate those wins, fuel the growth, and make winning a daily task. Make each and every victory a win. You got up, prayed, done your devotion, didnt kill anyone at work, got your gym time in, made dinner, etc... its a process not an end result. This is not an end that justifies the means, but rather the means that get us to the end result. Take each victory and celebrate, while shortly, and crush that next obstacle. Winning is a daily, sometimes hourly endeavor. Keep winning kings and queens. Keep grinding. The next generation needs to learn from us.

It’s all about mindset! When you realize that you are the only one holding you back, things change. It is reflected in everything we do, and when we finally change our mindset great things happen. Stop blaming others for your failures, take ownership and change. Turn the failure into drive, and reach that next level. Let that experience be a learning one

What does it take to win? What do you consider winning or being successful? I ask you that, because we have failed to teach our youth what it really means to win or be successful. Today, many people think that you have to be the greatest to win, that you have to be the "GOAT," and that is definitely not the case.

True success and winning in life comes from being consistent, persevering in had times, and staying true to the course. This doesn't mean you get a participation trophy for showing up, but rather its the fulfillment in accomplishing something you set out to do, sticking with something regardless of the setbacks, and pushing yourself to be better than you are now.

Let me be honest, I would like to make money, I would to have a better physique, I would like to have a house on the lake, or a boat, or better things than I have now, but to say I deserve them is far fetched. I have done the best with what I have, and I strive each day to be better; its about the consistency, the grind, and accomplishing it no matter what. Truth is, in the end, I am happy with my life, content, but that doesn't mean I have to stop progressing.

How do I progress in this life of dog eat dog? Serving! Like I have said before, its not what I have that matters, and that is why I am happy and content with what I have. It is rather the things I leave behind, the impact I make in the lives of others that truly makes me successful, and the rest of the "stuff" that makes me look successful are just perks for doing it right.

As a single father, managing partner of a business, owner of a business, personal trainer, weight loss coach, life coach, etc., success is all about helping others achieve their goals, and my goals will come to reality. Serving others gives meaning to everything I do, rather than others bringing success to my life. Their success is truly what defines whether I am successful, if I am winning at life. So, how do you define your success? Are you truly winning, or are you chasing the "stuff" rather than the "stuff" you seek being the byproduct of winning?

This year, this new beginning, I urge you to change your mindset. Change the way you think about winning, change the way you view success, and focus on the success and winning of others. I promise you that if that is your true focus, you will win and be successful everytime!

Happy New Year! With this new year, I would like to shift our focus, not just on our health, but on paradigms that modern liberal thinking has corrupted, brought to a point in which they have lost their true meaning. The first paradigm being that of masculinity. We read and hear so much "garbage" about "toxic masculinity," and the truth is that masculinity has become "toxic" because that is what the liberal agenda has made it to become.

Let be frank for just a moment, and realize that masculinity is not about social status, it has nothing to do with income, "dad-bods," beards, or even a muscular physique. Modern thinking, liberal agenda, and social media would have us believe that masculinity are just that. It would have us believe that we should strive to attain those things, especially social status and behavior that make men, well "men."

True masculinity, what really separates the men from the boys, has nothing to do with those things, and has everything to do with significance, purpose, and what we leave behind; not what we have or accumulate. Being a "real man," means taking responsibility for ourselves, those around us, and the situations and circumstances we have control of, affect, or even influence. Being a man has everything to do with stewardship and serving, and has nothing to do with status.

Being a real man is more of a paradox than a paradigm. Being humble, serving, caring, patient, compassionate, forgiving, etc, are not what modern thinking and the liberal agenda place as characteristics of being a "man," but those are the exact traits a real man should have. Again, being a real man is about significance, not status. While status is nice, and we all want a comfortable life, what we leave behind for the next generation is more important.

So I ask you, take the time to think, ask yourself, what was you dad like, your grandfather, your great grandfather? What was most important to them? What traits and characteristics did they have that the "modern man" does not? In my honest opinion, its time to reject modernity, embrace masculinity again, dismiss liberalism, and let real men rise up and be stewards before there is nothing to be stewards of.
