The name “Alabaster Counseling” is inspired by 2 Corinthians 4:7, “But we have this treasure in clay jars, so that it may be made clear that this extraordinary power belongs to God and does not come from us.”

Jars of clay also called alabaster jars were once very common household items. They were used for storage and even toilets. Simple , common vessels , made from dirt, nothing special about them. Much like us without the presence of the Holy Spirit in our lives. As a therapist, those of us at Alabaster know we have no valuable skill or ability to offer to our clients, but it is the Holy Spirit who dwells in us that equips us to help individuals along on their healing journeys.

This is a long time in the making and I am so excited to have finally put my passion project out there. Alabaster: A Broken Jar, THE PODCAST is live. Thank you to everyone that has encouraged me to follow this dream, my husband that has believed me at every turn, and most of all my Lord that has allowed me to pursue this! I am still learning how to use my equipment and promise to have better lighting and sound in the episodes ahead. Links to listen and watch are in the comments. It is with great deliberation, that I have made the difficult decision to work from home through the remainder of this year. I have recently developed some changes in my health that make it difficult for me to make the drive to Knoxville for the time being. Working with my clients is one of my greatest joys and honors, and giving you all the best quality care I can provide is of the utmost importance to me! For this season of life , that will be in the form of virtual sessions exclusively. Please contact me with any questions or concerns regarding this temporary change to my practice. Current clients can expect a personal message or more detailed update at the time of our next session. Thank you for your patience with me during this time. Many blessings to each of you!
