💡 Post-Surgical Swelling: Why It Happens & What You Can Do 💡

Swelling after surgery is completely normal—it’s your body’s natural response to healing! Here’s why it happens:

🩺 Inflammation & Healing – Your body sends white blood cells to the surgical site, increasing fluid buildup.

💧 Fluid Retention – Anesthesia and reduced mobility can lead to temporary swelling. Staying active (when cleared by your doctor!) helps circulation.

🔎 Other Factors – Hematomas (internal bleeding), infections, and even blood clots can contribute to swelling. Always monitor for signs of warmth, redness, or unusual pain.

💙 Tip: Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD) can help support recovery and reduce swelling naturally!

Save this for later or tag someone recovering from surgery! ✨
