Ask your doctor --
I’m trying to plan for my c-section – what do I tell my family about visitors?

Today's answer by Dr. Craig Myers:

Typically, the hospital will have you show up approximately 2 hours prior to your scheduled planned C-section.

You may have 2 visitors at a time in the room with you in preparation for the cesarean section. After the cesarean section is done you can have as many visitors as you would like.

While preparing for the cesarean section, the room can get somewhat crowded with nursing personnel, anesthesia personnel as well as your physician therefore that is why only 2 visitors are allowed at a time before your surgery.

**
You should always ask your doctor if you have a question about your health.
