Please join us in welcoming our newest foundation board member, Tanner Jenkins!

Tanner is a Sales Engineer at Marian Inc, covering Kentucky, Tennessee, and Southern Indiana. A proud Knoxville native and lifelong Vol, Tanner brings both professional expertise and a personal connection to InterFaith’s mission.

His reason for getting involved? It is personal. "InterFaith pretty much saved the life of the godfather of our child when he was born very premature,” Tanner shared. “I think it’s an important cause—and I’m honored to be part of it.”

When he is not working or giving back, you might find Tanner reading, mountain biking, watching movies, or playing video games. On his bucket list? A front-row seat at either a Ravens Super Bowl or a Vols National Championship—whichever comes first!

We are so grateful for Tanner’s passion and perspective, and we are thrilled to have him on the team!

Please join us in welcoming Kelsey Miller to InterFaith’s Foundation Board! Kelsey first learned about InterFaith through a friend and is excited to collaborate on creative ideas that raise awareness so more working neighbors can access affordable health care.

Founder of Klosets by Kelsey, offering organizing, styling, and personal shopping services. Kelsey loves helping people simplify their lives so they can enjoy a more stress-free lifestyle and feel confident in their spaces and themselves. When she's not working or volunteering, she enjoys reading, staying active at the YMCA, and time with her 13-month-old daughter, Vivienne and husband, Tanner. Her number-one travel dream is a “DNA journey” through the countries of her ancestry.

We could not be more proud to announce that our very own Beth Roskelly, Director of Development & Public Relations, has been named to VIP Knoxville Magazine’s 50 Under 50 list!

This recognition celebrates leaders under 50 who are making a meaningful impact in our community—and Beth’s accomplishments shine brightly. Beth worked alongside InterFaith volunteers and staff on our recent $12 million capital campaign, completed in just nine months, which will allow InterFaith Health Center to expand services and better serve our working, but uninsured or underserved neighbors. This accomplishment alone deserves all the accolades. Then, add to that her very successful past careers with Boys & Girls Clubs of Tennessee Valley and the McNabb Center and you'll quickly see why VIP Magazine had their eye on her! She is a go-getter and a true leader who is still humble and doesn't take all the credit for her successes. She attributes her accomplishments to having amazing parents to guide her, a supportive family, and surrounding herself with great mentors and a great team.

Beth’s leadership is also deeply shaped by her personal journey. After being diagnosed with breast cancer in 2019, she now celebrates six years cancer-free. Her strength, kindness, and resilience inspire all of us daily.

Friends, meet Alyce, one of our SUPER volunteers! Alyce is a nursing student at UT and came to us through the Jones Center for Leadership and Service, University of Tennessee and we love her!

She never knows what she is getting herself into, but does whatever we ask with a happy heart. On this day she was using oatmeal containers and foam core to make Mad Hatter hats! Didn't she do a great job?! THANK YOU Alyce!

Please join us in welcoming Mike Whitmore to InterFaith’s Foundation Board. Mike serves as Senior Director of HR at Clayton Homes and is most excited about spreading InterFaith’s mission and serving neighbors who are often overlooked.

Outside of work, Mike enjoys traveling, golfing, and all things soccer—both playing and watching. At home, he is pet-dad to Buddy (dog) and Mabelle (cat). His bucket-list dream is playing St. Andrews. We are grateful to have his leadership and heart for service on the team!

Safety on the Road Starts with Preparation
A message from Dr. Lynn Nichols, Medical Director at InterFaith Health Center:

Accidents and unexpected situations can happen anywhere—especially on the road. Keeping a well-stocked first aid kit in your car is a simple step that can make a big difference in an emergency. Whether it’s a minor cut, a sudden allergic reaction, or a more serious incident, having the right supplies on hand could save a life.
Here’s what I recommend keeping in your car’s first aid kit:

Adhesive bandages (various sizes)
Antiseptic wipes and antibiotic ointment
Sterile gauze pads and medical tape
Tweezers and scissors
Instant cold pack
Disposable gloves
Pain relievers (ibuprofen, acetaminophen)
Allergy medicine (such as diphenhydramine)
Emergency blanket
Small flashlight with extra batteries
CPR face shield or mask
List of emergency contacts and medical information
Seatbelt cutter/Window breaker tool (you can find inexpensive ones on Amazon)
I hope you never need it—but if you do, you’ll be grateful you have it. Stay safe out there!

Tanya Bible, one of our newest Foundation Board members, is a busy mom to two amazing kids and has been happily married for six years. She is excited to help InterFaith Health Center grow and serve more people across our community.

When she is not volunteering or keeping up with her little ones, Tanya loves anything outdoors—especially taking her kiddos to the farmers market. Fun fact: Her number-one bucket-list trip is a safari!

It's National Non-Profit Day! InterFaith has grown by leaps and bounds since 1991, and we are a premier health center in Knoxville that provides comprehensive care to our patients.

Today we'd like to thank our donors and volunteers who have so graciously helped us grow for the last 34 years. Without you we could not continue to provide comprehensive, compassionate, and essential care to our working uninsured and underserved neighbors in Knoxville and the surrounding counties. We'd also like to thank our amazing staff, without you, we couldn't do what we do!

We’re thrilled to share that The Hearst Foundations have awarded InterFaith Health Center a generous grant toward our capital campaign, specifically funding two brand-new dental operatories at our future facility, opening later this fall.
