Sure, the blooms of East Tennessee are beautiful, but eye allergy sufferers probably aren't looking to have a picnic anytime soon. If you're dealing with itchy, watery eyes due to nature's "pesky powder," here are a few tips that may help:
👀 First, don't rub your eyes. That can make things worse and may even cause damage.
💧Use over-the-counter antihistamine eyedrops as directed on the packaging.
👁️ A cold-water compress can relieve the itch and have a soothing effect on your eyes. Just soak a clean cloth in cold water and gently apply to closed eyes as often as needed.
If symptoms persist, consult your eye doctor for other options.
