Some of the best feedback we receive doesn’t come from numbers or charts. It comes from real people who trust us with their recovery.

After two surgeries on the same knee in just two years, Tony put in the work and leaned on the team at our Lenoir City clinic every step of the way. From hands-on care to encouragement on the tough days, his journey is exactly why we do what we do.

“I am truly blessed to have found East Tennessee Spine & Sport… and I am confident that because of their care I will make a complete recovery.”

Shoutout to our Lenoir City team for making an impact that goes beyond physical therapy.

This is what it’s all about. Helping people feel better, move better, and get back to living their lives.

If you’re dealing with pain or recovering from surgery, we’re here to help you take that next step forward.

This past weekend, Cameron and Clorissa from our Lenoir City clinic were in Atlanta completing the McKenzie Part A course — continuing to build their skillset in one of the most trusted approaches to spine care.

At Spine & Sport, we’re intentional about how we grow — investing in advanced training that directly translates to better care for our patients.

The McKenzie Method is a key part of how we evaluate and treat spine conditions, and we’re proud to have a growing number of therapists continuing to pursue this training.

We’re all in on Lenoir City 💪

Cam and the team have been repping the city in a big way, and thanks to one of our patients, the clinic now features memorabilia from Lenoir City High School athletics. It’s a daily reminder of the community and athletes we’re proud to support.

“I almost didn’t go.”

We hear that more often than you might think.

Pelvic floor therapy can feel unfamiliar, and many women aren’t sure if it’s something they really need. But once they start learning about their pelvic floor and how it affects their body, things begin to make a lot more sense.

Pelvic floor therapy isn’t just about treating problems — it can also help women learn more about their bodies, build strength, and support long-term pelvic health.

We’re grateful for patients like Amy who trusted our team at The Nest and discovered just how valuable pelvic floor therapy can be.

If you’ve ever wondered whether pelvic floor therapy might help you, you’re not alone — and you’re always welcome here.

Recovering from an injury, surgery, or balance issue doesn’t always mean waiting weeks before you can start moving again.

At Spine & Sport, some of our clinics use the AlterG® Anti-Gravity Treadmill to help patients of all ages begin walking or running earlier in the rehabilitation process. By reducing the amount of body weight placed on your joints and muscles, the AlterG allows you to move naturally while minimizing stress on the body.

The AlterG can help a wide range of patients, including:

• Athletes working to safely return to running and sport
• Patients recovering from orthopedic injuries or surgery
• Individuals rebuilding strength and mobility after joint replacements
• Older adults improving walking confidence, balance, and stability

Because the AlterG can precisely reduce body weight, our therapists can gradually increase load as you recover—helping restore normal movement patterns step by step.

From athletes returning to competition to individuals working to walk more confidently in everyday life, the AlterG is one of the many tools our therapists use to help patients move better and live better.

Spine & Sport’s Bearden clinic is where it all began.

Our first clinic opened in Bearden in 1995, laying the foundation for what Spine & Sport has become today. In 2021, the clinic moved into its current expanded space to better serve the community.

Led by clinic director Micah Reppuhn, Bearden remains one of the cornerstone locations of our practice—continuing the legacy of elite spine and orthopedic care that helped establish Spine & Sport’s reputation in East Tennessee.

The Bearden team includes Micah, Kayla, Pri, Ian, Leah, Patrick, Vee, Chris, Lindsey, Rabekah, and Alyssa. Together, they bring a wide range of clinical expertise to the clinic, including McKenzie Institute certified spine specialists, a certified vestibular therapist, a board-certified neurologic physical therapist, and providers trained in dry needling and advanced orthopedic care.

Patients come to Bearden for many reasons, but the clinic is especially known for:

• Spine and neck pain care
• Sports medicine and orthopedic rehab
• Vestibular therapy (dizziness, balance concerns)
• Pelvic health therapy for a wide range of conditions and life stages

Equally important is the clinic’s deep connection to the community. The Bearden team proudly supports Bearden High School athletics, participates in student career events and the 865 Academies program, and maintains strong ties with West High School and other local organizations throughout West Knoxville.

Inside the clinic, the culture reflects what Spine & Sport has always been about—collaboration, expertise, and a shared commitment to helping patients move better and live better.

After 31 years in Bearden, we’re grateful to continue serving Knoxville with the same mission that started it all.

On March 1st, ETSS proudly celebrates 31 years of serving Knoxville.

31 years ago, our founder Greg DeFilippo had a vision: build an elite clinical practice committed to delivering unmatched care to this community. Today, that vision is stronger than ever.

From one clinic to eight locations, ETSS has grown steadily over the past three decades. Sustaining a small business for 31 years is no small accomplishment. It takes leadership, sacrifice, belief, and an unwavering commitment to doing things the right way. We are incredibly grateful to Greg, his family, our partners, and every team member who has helped build what ETSS is today.

At the heart of our growth is a simple promise to Knoxville:

You Get More.

More expertise.
More individualized attention.
More clinical excellence.
More commitment to outcomes.

Providing an elite clinical product isn’t just a slogan — it’s our standard. We continually invest in top-tier education and advanced training for our staff to ensure every patient receives the highest level of care.

Our impact extends beyond our clinic walls. Through our work with Emerald Youth Foundation, local high schools, and other community initiatives, we are committed to serving Knoxville both inside and outside the clinic.

This milestone belongs to our founder, his family, our partners, our team (past and present), and the thousands of patients who have trusted us over the last 31 years.

Eight clinics strong.
Countless lives impacted.
One unwavering mission.

Here’s to 31 years — and to continuing to show Knoxville that at ETSS…

You Get More.
