Ninety-freakin-seven!!!
This morning was MC's first CF Clinic appointment since beginning Trikafta two weeks ago. Her last PFTs which were after a two week inpatient stay and IV antibiotics were only in the 80s. Today after not even two full weeks on Trikafta her PFTs were 97!!!!! Y'all, I can't even!!! •

This squad has certainly shown how huge their spirits are. When one of their own is hospitalized, they certainly came through, went above and beyond really, to boost her spirits. I can never thank them enough and will forever be thankful for the sisterhood of this cheer family. 💙🦅📣

Even though we saw it coming, it's never easy to hear... MC is going inpatient for the next two weeks.
But, the highlight of the appointment is that we found out that MC is eligible to use the newly released triple therapy CF drug Trikafta!!!

Today is the day... MC returns to the CF Clinic for the post-antibiotic follow up appointment. This is the appointment for which we were forewarned to pack a bag because it is highly probable that she will be admitted for two weeks. We certainly don't want to go inpatient, especially over the Thanksgiving holiday, but ultimately we want what is best for Molly Claire. Send up prayers and good vibes for us all today, but especially MC. It was apparent her anxiety was beginning to creep in as she was preparing to leave.

Yesterday's CF clinic appointment had both good and not so good results:
The good - Weight gain of 4 lbs
Not so good - PFT 83
They felt it would be best to admit her for a "tune-up" but did agree to let her try a week of antibiotics and increased airway clearance before a return visit. The doctor did mention that she should probably pack a bag for her next appointment and be prepared to be admitted... so to that we say, challenge accepted! Here's to MC proving them wrong and blowing them away, literally!

It's great to be a Tennessee Vol - and a Summertown Eagle!!! MC and the Jr High Cheer Squad had the opportunity to participate in UT Spirit Day and perform a dance routine on the field! It was great to be back on Rocky Top and see some familiar faces!

Three cheers for this girl!!! MC endured a l-o-n-g day at yesterday's CF Clinic appointment, but she came out on top!! PFTs were all in the upper 90s - thank you, and - oral glucose test and annual labs all came back great, as well as a chest xray that looked good. She didn't gain any weight since her last visit, but she didn't lose any either; so back in two months for a weight recheck and hopefully we can get it on the upward climb and put an end to the quarterly visits and begin going to clinic on a semi-yearly basis. •
