Responsibilities and Duties

Patient intake to include history and physical
Assisting providers with procedures performed in office
Phone triage
Surgery scheduling
Obtaining precertifications/authorizations from insurance carriers

Qualifications and Skills

Currently licensed by State of TN
Graduate of an accredited school
1-3 years medical office setting preferred
Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
Ability to meet demands of an active position
Must be able to multi-task

Our sweet patient, Amira, finally made it home to Burkina Faso after her umbilical hernia and kidney surgeries. Dr. Smith was extremely fortunate to be apart of this amazing experience to help this special little girl. Please see the link below to see the beginning of her journey.

University Pediatric Urology is seeking a candidate for the Front Office Receptionist position. This is a full-time hourly position that includes benefits.
Monday-Friday 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Duties and responsibilities for this role typically include:
Greeting patients professionally in person and on the phone.
Quickly answering or properly referring questions and issues.
Optimizing provider schedules and patient satisfaction with efficient scheduling.
Organization and time management to manage a variety of tasks effectively.
Ensuring availability of treatment information by retrieving and updating patient records.
Canidate must be able to take initiative.
Medical office experience preferred.
