Top 3 things NOT to do…

#1: Drink Alcohol - Among other things, alcohol can suppress the production of protein needed to repair muscle damage after exercise🍻
#2: Consume too much sugar - Rather, fuel your body with a nutritious meal to avoid a sugar crash🧁
#3: Get little sleep - Your body needs complete rest. An exhausted body is not a high performing body!😴

We are human and life can be busy or stressful. What’s important to keep in mind is the 2 Day Rule - never miss more than 1 day in a row of a healthy habit or a productive routine!

Training 🤝🏼 The Female Cycle

There’s lots of buzz circling cycle syncing…

We’re here to tell you monitoring your cycle with your training can be beneficial! It can lead to more effective workouts and help support a healthy hormonal system.

So what does that look like?

Menstrual Cycle + Follicular Phase | Days 1-14
✨ Beginning of Phase: hormones are low & you may have some inflammation, pain or lethargy - focus on training in a way that nurtures your body & mind
✨ Middle of Phase: estrogen rises & your energy levels may begin to pick up - focus on high intensity & strength workouts
✨ Late of Phase: estrogen levels are peaking - time to set PRs & crush your exercise goals

Ovulation + Luteal Phase | Days 15-28
✨ Progesterone levels are rising + PMS symptoms including bloating, weight changes, food cravings & more are coming into play. Fluid retention may be at a high causing you to feel “heavier” than normal - the perfect time to embrace longer, steady-state training while taking time to improve technique and movement efficiency
