We'd love for you to join our September meeting!

In case you’re new around here or just aren’t sure what to expect from our group, let us answer some questions for you.

🧡 Who: Anyone who has experienced a miscarriage, stillbirth, or infant loss at any time is welcome. All losses are significant, and we welcome you whether you lost your baby at 5 weeks or 5 months old. We would love for you to join us whether your loss was last month or 10 years ago. You are welcome here. Women and men are welcome to join our group.

🧡 What: A support group for a unique type of loss. We usually have a small group of people who have experienced loss. This group is not counseling or therapy — it is simply a safe space to share about your story, your baby’s story, and listen to others who have walked a similar path.

🧡 When: We meet on the third Tuesday of every month. This month, that falls on September 16th.

🧡 Where: The Happy Envelope. Our friends at graciously invite us in to use their beautiful space. The address is 5605 Kingston Pike.

🧡 Why: We believe it’s important to walk through grief with others. We believe in the power of talking with people who “get it.” In our experience, healing comes when we share our stories and experiences and are able to accompany others through their own grief. We want you to be a part of that.

What other questions do you have? We’re happy to answer them, and we hope to see you there!

Knoxville area people… You need to know about this service! Not only can it feel great to have a freshly cleaned car seat, but it can actually keep your child safer! As a mom of 3, I know how quickly the car gets messy. Sometimes crumbs and other little things can get in crevices and areas that can affect the functioning of the car seat, making it not safe. Make sure you’re keeping those seats clean, and if you don’t have time to do it, utilize this amazing service!!! ❤️

It’s okay if you don’t know what’s hiding under your car seat covers, we’ll make sure you never have to find out. 😉

Let us handle the mess so you don’t have to stress! 🫧

The Knoxville Police Department will partner with the Tennessee Highway Safety Office and other local law enforcement agencies to host its next Child Safety Seat Checkpoint this Saturday, May 10 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Chilhowee Park!

The Child Safety Seat Checkpoints are a completely free-of-charge service offered by the KPD for anyone who regularly uses child safety seats. During the Checkpoint, child car seats are inspected by a certified car seat technician to ensure proper use and installation. Additionally, car seat technicians provide valuable safety tips and recommendations for those utilizing child safety seats.

The Checkpoints are led by experienced and knowledgeable KPD personnel who have completed the 32-hour Child Passenger Safety Technician Standardized Training.

For Saturday’s checkpoint, no appointment is necessary and drive-ups are welcome.

For more information, call 865-215-7081 or email carseatcheckpoint@knoxvilletn.gov.

Psst… Hey you!
You’ve probably heard the phrase “drowsy but awake” more times than you can count—but here’s the truth: it works for a very small percentage of babies.

And that’s OK.

Rocking, feeding, cuddling, patting, and soothing your baby to sleep are not just allowed—they’re biologically normal, comforting, and often exactly what your baby needs.

So if transferring your baby “drowsy but awake” just leads to more tears (theirs and yours), feel free to drop that expectation. Your way is the right way, as long as it works for both of you.

Your instincts matter. Your baby’s needs matter. There is no one-size-fits-all sleep solution.
You’re doing beautifully.
Newborn sleep can feel overwhelming. That’s why I’m here to support you with practical, responsive, and evidence-based guidance—so you can rest a little easier.
