“Thine eye be single”, the words Jesus spoke at The Sermon on the Mount, refer to the third eye or Ajna Chakra (6th of 7 chakras or energy centers in the body) which is associated with the pineal gland within each of us, a pinecone shaped gland that regulates melatonin, a neurotransmitter that controls our wake/sleep cycle and responds to light, paralleling the pine cone’s response to environmental conditions* seen as a metaphor for perceiving divine Light.
*The pinecone closes in damp/dark conditions & opens in the warmer/light conditions of daytime.
What many of us associate this chakra with is intuition or the ability to Know God/Truth, to go direct to the Source vs needing a “middleman” who may or may not know God themselves or may or may not have a personal egoic agenda. Ego = Edges God Out
Jesus Christ who is God’s Son/Sun wants to have a personal relationship with each one of us. No fancy buildings, middlemen/women or dogmatic checklists are necessary for you to meet Jesus. You just need to call on His Name. He’s always there. We just have to get still & Know.
