“Jay graduated from Austin Peay University and worked as a project manager in construction and the HVAC industry. Jay embraced life by diving in whenever an adventurous opportunity arises. He had a servant’s heart consistently willing to jump in to help others. GOD worked through many servants at Cumberland Baptist Church to guide Jay to a confession of JESUS CHRIST as his LORD and SAVIOR and Jay made a public profession in May 1998 followed by baptism on June 7, 1998. He was discipled through additional servants of CHRIST in youth ministries at church, Young Life, and other Christians in his daily life. While at Austin Peay University, Jay carried the message to others as a servant of CHRIST through Young Life and as member of small groups at church. Jay along with his children’s moms introduced his children to the village of GOD’s people. We sorely grieve the multitude and deep layers of pain allowing powerful evil forces to rob Jay of his life on earth and passionately and unequivocally believe the Good Sheppard has found him and is holding Jay in His Arms. Jay will be intensely missed by a huge village of people that love him.”

“Stevie was a loving, caring and compassionate man. He was always the first to show up when someone needed help, always willing to stop and lend a hand or a listening ear. He lived with a spirit of adventure, a spark of mischief and a joy for life that could light up any room he entered. He was a man who felt deeply, his love, laughter and presence left an indelible mark on all who knew him. his memory will forever be carried in the hearts of those who loved him. He will be deeply missed and it is our hope he found peace. "Come to me all you who are weary and burdened and I will give you rest" Matthew 11:28. May he find the peace in eternity that he gave so freely in life.”
