“Linda was the heart of our family — steady, loving, and fiercely devoted. She carried a quiet strength and a gentle, playful spirit that made everyone around her feel welcomed and cared for. Her love was constant and selfless. She put her family first in everything she did, and her presence was the foundation of the home she so beautifully built. Throughout her life, Linda moved numerous times, but no matter where she went, she had a remarkable gift for making friends and building community. She never met a stranger. People were drawn to her authenticity and the effortless way she made others feel important, understood, and at home in her presence. She found joy in life’s simple pleasures — music playing in the background, dancing around the room, decorating her home, and working with her hands. Linda also had a special talent for shopping bargains; nothing made her happier than finding a good deal for her children and grandchildren. She always kept her loved ones in mind. Linda had a deep love for animals, and many furry friends brought joy to her life over the years. She adored Samantha, Speedy, Joshua, Rocky, Sonya, Big and Little Fluffy, and Miss Kitty, among countless others. Her compassion for animals reflected the same warmth, care, and devotion she gave to her family and friends. Linda was known for her determination and tireless work ethic. She lived with independence and a true “can-do” spirit that inspired everyone around her. In her 60s, while living in Miami, Florida, she famously climbed onto her own roof to pressure wash and repair it rather than pay someone else — a story her family still tells with pride and a smile. That was Linda: capable, resilient, and never afraid of hard work.”

“Ralph was born in Cummings, Georgia and had a successful career as a steelworker at Bethlehem Steel. Ralph had a passion for the Lord and served him faithfully up until his passing. He loved his family who was the joy and pride of his life. He was always loving, caring, totally non-judgmental, always forgiving and hysterically funny. To his family, there is not enough words to describe his goodness or his life. In general, he was far above any good thing we could say.”

“She was born on September 28, 1937, in Detroit, Michigan. Janet lived with hearing loss, meeting the challenge with quiet strength and resilience. She carried with her throughout her life the memory of her father and her sister, Wanda, who were tragically killed in an automobile accident on Christmas Day in 1957. A faithful and hardworking employee, Janet retired with a full pension from Breed Automotive Corp, a Knoxville seat belt manufacturing company. She was a dedicated member of Temple Baptist Church and especially cherished the community she found within the church’s deaf ministry. In her free time, she enjoyed crafting, competitive bowling, and spending time with her family.”
