Mynatt Funeral Home Mynatt Funeral Home is Family Owned and Operated Funeral Home in Knoxville, TN. Established in 1900 by Earnest Mynatt in Halls Cross Roads, TN.

At Mynatt, the families we serve are put first and we strive to provide the highest level of service and compassion for the families we serve. After his death in 1929, his son, Kyle H. Mynatt moved to Fountain City, TN, which is now Knoxville. The present location at 2829 Rennoc Road has been operating there since 1936. In 2005 Mynatt Funeral Home inc. expanded to a second location back to Halls Cross Roads very near to its original beginning, located at 4131 East Emory Road. Bud and Mary Coomer have worked at Mynatt since 1948, 65years. We have 2 locations:

“Ruth was born on January 27, 1943, in Robbinsville, NC to Harvey “Dock” and Ethel Orr. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Powell. A devoted wife, mother, and Mamaw, she loved gardening, cooking, traveling, and caring for her family and pets. She devoted her life and career to nursing. She received her RN degree from Fort Sanders School of Nursing and later completed her Master’s in Public Administration at the University of Tennessee. Ruth retired from Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center as Vice President ofNursing after 30 plus years of service in numerous roles. During her career, she received the Meritorious Service Award from the TNA and was named its 2004 Executive Nurse of Distinction. She was also recognized by Tennessee Wesleyan College in 2005 with the Mary Mildred Sullivan Award.”

“Stephen graduated from Norton High School and the University of Akron, and enjoyed a career working as a surgical assistant at several hospitals. Stephen and Kathy lived in Hinckley Ohio, Louisville Kentucky, Northbrook Illinois, and in 2019, moved and retired to Loudon, Tennessee, as part of the Tellico Village community. Stephen enjoyed fishing, golfing, hiking, camping, home improvement projects, and especially spending time with his family and friends. Stephen will always be remembered for his big heart and astute mechanical knack to fix and improve(“Stephenize”) anything. Stephen will be deeply missed by Kathy, his loving wife of nearly 40 years. A selfless man with many talents, he will always be remembered as a loving husband, brother and friend.”
