Some photos we snapped at the PrintFX ribbon cutting yesterday for their new location in Maryville!

We really enjoyed getting to see the big machines and people at work as well as taking in some already finished projects they had. The food from Gilley Goat Bbq was excellent as well!

FDA and NIH announce innovative joint Nutrition Regulatory Science Program

The initiative will aim to answer questions such as:
* How and why can ultra-processed foods harm people’s health?�
* How might certain food additives affect metabolic health and possibly contribute to chronic disease?�
* What is the role of maternal and infant dietary exposures on health outcomes across the lifespan, including autoimmune diseases?

Answering these questions and many others will enable effective policy development and help promote the radical transparency Americans deserve about the foods they are eating and how those foods can impact their health.

Did you know…

In 2022, each day 300 people are estimated to have died from drug overdoses. Fentanyl was involved in nearly 70% of these overdose deaths.

From 2019 to 2021, overdose deaths among teens ages 15-19 more than doubled. Teen drug use did not increase - the drug supply became more dangerous.

Drug dealers manufacture illicit pills to look identical to real prescription pills made in FDA-approved facilities.

More than 2 million fake pills with fentanyl were seized in 2021 – nearly 50 times more than 2018. These fake pills are often sold over social media making the accessible to all.
