A systematic review and meta-analysis evaluated 27 randomized controlled trials involving 2,072 participants to assess the effectiveness of inhaling essential oils for insomnia caused by other health conditions. The pooled data demonstrated significant improvements in sleep quality (PSQI), as well as reductions in anxiety and depression scores compared to control groups. Based on their findings, the researchers further stated that "inhalation aromatherapy is expected to become an indispensable complementary therapy in clinical practice for most diseases."
