Dr. Webber is a former Army and Air Force surgeon. He has over 40 years of experience in treating breast disease and is a pioneer in the treatment of breast cancer in East Tennessee. He is the first surgeon in Knoxville to offer his patients a sentinel lymph node
biopsy and one of the earliest users of Intra-operative ultrasound for breast cancer treatment. He was also the first in East Tennessee to offer his patients local radiation therapy, which is five days of treatment vs. Dr. Webber graduated from the University Of Tennessee College Of Medicine in 1967 and completed a residency in general surgery at William Beaumont Army Hospital in El Paso, TX in 1972. Dr. Webber is passionate about offering the best treatment available and uses different, innovated methods that are individualized for each patient. We lovingly guide all patients through diagnosis, biopsy, surgery, and referrals to medical oncology and radiation oncology. High Risk counseling with genetic testing is done with applicable. Reconstruction is offered and coordinated with plastic surgery. Each patient has an extensive discussion before any decision is made. Radiation oncology offers partial breast & whole breast radiation with a linear accelerator or the Proton Beam where indicated. Services offered:
