As a QCS(Qualified Clinical Supervisor), My goal is to enhance the substance abuse treatment field, improve client care, develop the professionalism of clinical personnel, and impart and maintain ethical standards in the field. My role and skill set as a Clinical Supervisor are distinct from those of counselor and administrator. My role is to foster a positive supervisor relationship that promotes client welfare and the professional development of the supervisee. I will be a teacher, coach, consultant, mentor, evaluator, and administrator; I will provide support, encouragement, and education to individuals seeking LAADAC Licensure while addressing an array of psychological, interpersonal, physical, and spiritual issues of clients. Ultimately, I will ensure that clients are competently served. I will ensure that counselors continue to increase their skills, which in turn increases treatment effectiveness, client retention, and staff satisfaction. I wanted to provide some general information on how to support those who are going through addiction.

Addiction is a complex and challenging issue that affects not only the individual struggling with it but also their loved ones. If someone you care about is going through addiction, here are some ways you can support them:
