Tom D’Angelo, the Executive Director of KCD, visited the ASL program at Maryville High School with their ASL teacher, Ms. Michelle Norman, and her students. They discussed what the Knoxville Center of the Deaf has to offer to the community. Thank you for the warm welcome and for the opportunity to connect with students about our programs and services!

We are thrilled to announce we are hosting our first interpreting workshop at KCD. This event is open to any interpreter who wants to learn more about ethics and how it impacts our work. This workshop will be in ASL. If you need accommodations, please reach out.

This workshop will be hosted in a hybrid format on February 21st from 11:00 am - 12:30 pm.

Knoxville Black Community and Power will host their monthly meeting on the first Saturday of every month, 1:00–3:00 PM, at the Knoxville Center of the Deaf (downstairs).

This meeting is led by Cheryl Steele and centers the Black community and is a space created for them.
