Join Us for an ASL-Interpreted Event in the Smokies!

Great Smoky Mountains National Park will host ASL-interpreted programs on Sunday, August 17, 2025, and we thought it would be perfect for our community!

Event Schedule on August 17:

Walker Sisters Hike at 11:00 a.m. (meet at Little Greenbrier School)

Stream Splashers at 2:00 p.m. (Metcalf Bottoms Picnic Area)

At each stop, ASL interpreters and students from UT and Maryville College will interpret the programs for Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing visitors.

These are part of the National Park Service’s summer/fall public program series with ASL interpretation available one day each month, funded by the National Park Foundation.

All programs are family-friendly, open to everyone, and require no reservations.
