UT LIFESTAR joins our entire emergency services family in mourning of the heartbreaking loss of Cody Satterfield. Cody dedicated his life to helping others, often putting the needs of his patients and colleagues above his own.

As we grieve this immense loss, we are reminded of the love Cody had for his family, especially his children, who were his world. In honor of Cody and to support his loved ones during this difficult time, his father and family have created a GoFundMe to assist with funeral expenses. Any remaining contributions will go toward the future of Cody’s children.

As temperatures rise across East Tennessee, the UT LIFESTAR team wants to remind everyone that heat-related illness can affect anyone, from young children to older adults.

Whether you're working outdoors, enjoying the lake, or just soaking up the sun, it’s important to take precautions.

Our UT LIFESTAR crews are ready to respond when emergencies happen, but with the right steps, many heat-related incidents are preventable.

Stay safe and cool this summer!

We are proud to highlight our base in Sevierville, Tennessee. What started as an expansion base in 2004, has grown into one of the flagship operations of the UT LIFESTAR program.

A recent change from the Bell 407, our Sevierville base features the H 130 airframe, VFR (Visual Flight Rules) helicopter. This aircraft is designed to enhance patient care, safety, and comfort.

A heartfelt thank you to our dedicated crew and the Sevier County community for making this mission possible every day.
