What a special morning at the Knoxville Academy of Medicine CME Brunch today 💙
We were honored to gather with physicians, spouses, and friends for “Practicing Meaningful Medicine: When Clinical Excellence Meets Faith and Purpose.” It was a morning filled with thoughtful conversation, shared stories, and meaningful reflection on why we do this work and how we care for both our patients and one another.
A heartfelt thank you to our wonderful presenters and to everyone who joined us for fellowship, learning, and a full breakfast buffet. Events like this remind us that medicine is not just a profession — it’s a calling grounded in purpose, compassion, and community.
We’re grateful for each of you who made today so memorable!

Today is Giving Tuesday!

The KAPA Kitchen is excited to be participating in the 2025 Giving Tuesday! Collectively, physicians and community donors have distributed more than 100,000 pounds of food to our neighbors in need!!!

In November, in addition to regular shopping hours in the KAPA Kitchen, we partnered with Wellpoint, Faith Promise Church, McNabb Center, and Gordon Foods to provide Thanksgiving dinners for 600 families! Also in November, we were able to purchase a refrigerated vehicle that has already reaped more than 4,600 pounds of food rescue from NEW food donation sources for the KAPA Kitchen. That’s 4,600 pounds of additional food for families in the month of November alone!

SNAP benefits are being restored but the need for a stable food source is still much needed. You can provide food for the Christmas Holidays and beyond by donating on Giving Tuesday to the KAPA Kitchen. Your tax deductible donation will go to provide food for families in more than 23 counties.

We would be happy to drop off a KAPA Kitchen donation barrel at your place of work or worship!

The KAPA Kitchen Food Pantry is in desperate need of supplies for those in need. Many businesses around town have already started food drives for the KAPA Kitchen by hosting a donation barrel at their location.
