Addiction is often called the disease of denial–not because people are naturally dishonest, but because the brain works incredibly hard to protect the behavior it depends on.

Denial can sound like rationalizations, comparisons, or minimizing the impact alcohol has on our lives.

The turning point for many people isn’t hitting rock bottom.
It’s simply getting honest about what alcohol is really doing.

Awareness is uncomfortable.
But it’s also where freedom begins.

It’s the most wonderful timeeee of the year 🐊🎶

The gators come out in spring, and I make it a point to visit them on my runs!

I left work early for a dental cleaning and took advantage of the warm weather! Even got a few gator sightings 🐊

Coming back from a cold this week 💪🏼

My husband and I bought a bottle of NA wine and a 6 pack of NA beers for Valentine’s Day, and 12 days later, we still have some leftover.

If we were still drinking and that had been alcohol, we would’ve finished it by the end of the weekend and then some!

Chances are, if you claim you drink “because you like the taste” it’s probably not the taste you’re enjoying. Alcohol is an addictive substance, and the more you consume it, the higher chance you have of becoming addicted. Period.

Alcohol companies spend over $7 billion dollars a year on alcohol advertising. Why do we question why people struggle with an addictive substance without holding the culture accountable?
