July is all about celebrating independence — and today, we’re excited to congratulate Delmar Russell on his incredible progress at The Waters of Clinton!

Delmar came to us with extremely low endurance and muscle weakness, needing assistance with all transfers and bed mobility. His limited activity tolerance made even simple tasks challenging due to difficulty breathing, and initial testing showed a high fall risk and need for moderate assistance with daily tasks.

With hard work, determination, and support from our physical and occupational therapy teams, Delmar made amazing progress:
✅ Now able to walk 40 feet with a rolling walker and stand-by assist
✅ Transfers and bed mobility independently
✅ Significantly improved activity tolerance, strength, and confidence

Delmar shared:

“I am ready to go home and thank you all for helping me achieve my goals.”

His treatment included strengthening, balance recovery, self-care training, ambulation, education, and safe discharge planning.

Delmar, we’re so proud of your dedication and all you’ve achieved. Congratulations — and we wish you nothing but the best as you return home! 💙

July is all about celebrating independence — and today, we’re excited to share the success story of Angela Williams!

When Angela first admitted The Waters of Clinton, she required moderate assistance with transfers and daily tasks, couldn’t manage stairs — which was essential for living independently — and had difficulty swallowing foods, requiring a mechanical soft diet.

With Angela’s dedication and input, our team created a personalized plan of care, and she worked tirelessly with physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapy to build strength, endurance, and confidence.

After just five weeks of intensive therapy, Angela is now able to:
✅ Walk 175 feet with a cane
✅ Go up and down 5 steps independently
✅ Eat a regular diet without swallowing difficulties

Angela shared:

“I am blessed that I am back on my feet again because I thought it might not happen. I want to go back to work and be independent again for me and my son.”

Angela, your hard work, determination, and positive spirit are truly inspiring. We’re so proud of all you’ve accomplished and can’t wait to see what’s next for you! 💙

Our Craft Corner had a wonderful time painting canvases that will soon be transformed into tiles. These tiles will become part of a beautiful Mural Mosaic displayed in one of the major cities in the U.S.!

It’s and we would like to introduce Terri Kane, our Housekeeping & Laundry Supervisor!

Terri has been with The Waters of Clinton for two years. She is originally from Philadelphia and is an avid Eagles fan! Prior to working at The Waters she worked for 27 years in hospitals and 3 years in skilled nursing facilities and is very proud of her 31 years in the field! At The Waters she greatly enjoys being with the residents and bringing her dog Joey for pet therapy. In her spare time she enjoys being outside and spending time with her family. She is also excited to welcome her first granddaughter in December!

Please join us in thanking Terri for all that she does to keep The Waters of Clinton looking in tip-top shape!
