Since the doors opened over six years ago at Morning Pointe of Knoxville, Lisa Ellis has been a shining example of dedication and compassion. After many wonderful years of service, Lisa is retiring—and while we’re sad to see her go, we’re so excited for what lies ahead!

She was all smiles walking into her surprise farewell party, surrounded by her teammates who have become like family. 💛 Lisa, thank you for the incredible impact you've made. You’ll always be part of our Morning Pointe story. 🥂

⚾ A Beanbag Baseball showdown to remember! 🎉
We always love a good game, but this one was truly a home run! Morning Pointe of Hardin Valley - Assisted Living hosted an epic triple-team tournament featuring their residents along with teams from Morning Pointe of Powell - Assisted Living and our own community. 🙌

It was the first time we’ve ever done a tournament like this—and it turned out to be a blast! Laughter, teamwork, and friendly competition filled the room, and in true Morning Pointe fashion, everyone tied for first place. 🏆❤️

A big thank you to our amazing volunteers and to Kayce, Hope, and Kari for helping make it all happen. This is what community is all about!

🌟 Meet July’s Resident Spotlight: Brenda Lunsford! 💛
Originally from Maynardville, TN, Brenda grew up on a farm with her younger sister and graduated from Horace-Maynard High School in 1962. After attending Knoxville Business College, she began a meaningful career in social work with the Department of Human Services. 👩‍💼

She took time off to raise her two sons, Ray and Casey, before returning to serve the state of Tennessee once again. Later, she met her second husband, Bob, and the two built a beautiful life filled with boating, hiking, and motorcycle rides at Watts Bar Lake. 🏍️🏞️

Before retiring, Brenda served as chairperson of the Roane County Chamber of Commerce—an inspiring career of service and leadership. We’re honored to have her as part of our Morning Pointe family!
