                                            This little gadget is a numberless scale....
While I don't think that getting a weight on patients will make or break a plan of care, small details are very important to me. For instance, if a patient gains or loses a significant amount of weight between appointments, that is worth investigating! If it turns out to be incidental, then we just move along- but I want to make sure we aren't missing an important piece of info.
I will always remain a body-positive provider AND keep a close eye on all the things that I feel are important without focusing on weight alone. I've found that abnormal or unexpected weight loss/gain are symptoms (not causes) of root-cause conditions. I'm not interested in Band-Aids.... I'm interested in answers.
