Harmony gives a hearty and heartfelt thanks to Matt Garrett for his contributions to the Challenge Course at Montvale Springs. Matt has volunteered for many years as a belayer on the Climbing Tower and has also helped train other belayers as well as those who facilitate our Low Ropes Course.

In March of this year, Matt donated significantly with materials, equipment, and, just as importantly, two days of his time and construction expertise to help make repairs and upgrades to the Climbing Tower.

Matt is an avid outdoorsman and adventurer who climbs, rappels, and explores caves, among other activities. He literally learned “the ropes” during his service as a Marine. He and his wife, Leigh, who previously served as the Chairperson of Harmony’s Board of Directors, have been longtime supporters of Harmony and Montvale Springs. Many thanks, Matt, for keeping us “on belay”!

Harmony is in search of certified Lifeguards at Montvale Springs in Maryville! 🛟

We need lifeguards available for our camp programming which typically consists of 2-3 hour events on weekday afternoons and weekends. $30/hr pay (must provide proof of certification).

Session 1 will be held 10am-12pm and focus on the impact of trauma on the brain, body, and behavior and what the community can do to support healing. He prefers to be with others rather than being alone. He also likes indoor activities over outdoor activities, with the exception of sports. David's favorite music is R&B, rap, and drill. Although David can be shy at first, he likes to laugh, be silly, goofy, and affectionate. David enjoys being active and spending quality time with family.
