Winter Weather Updates for Wednesday, February 19th!

Our top priority is keeping our patients and staff safe so we are monitoring the incoming weather closely.

Our Corbin, KY office and Cookeville office will be closed for in-person appointments tomorrow, February 19th. If you are an established patient we will (if we haven't already) be reaching out to offer a telehealth appointment and we will also be reaching out to our new patients to reschedule.

Our Knoxville and Morristown offices are planning to be open, however that could change quickly due to the weather conditions. Please check our Facebook or Instagram for closure updates. You may also call our office at 865-546-3998.

If you have a procedure scheduled at Middlebrook ASC or East Tennessee Children's Hospital, those will proceed as previously scheduled unless you are contacted by that facility.

We are excited to announce the opening of our Young Adult GI Clinic at Turkey Creek Medical Center in West Knoxville.

As with all our offices, this clinic is conveniently located with free parking, easy ground floor access, and has no facility fees for office visits.

GI for Kids wishes you all a safe and happy New Year's Eve and a wonderful 2025!

All of our locations will be closed at noon today (12/31/2024) and all day tomorrow (1/1/2025). We will re-open on Thursday 1/2/2025.

In case of emergency, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room. Our on-call provider does not have access to scheduling or the ability to send in medications. Please send us a message though the portal or call our office during normal business hours for these requests and we will address them as soon as we can.

We wish everyone a wonderful holiday season!

All of our office locations will be closed Tuesday 12/24/2024-Friday 12/27/2024 and Wednesday 1/1/2025. The Morristown and Corbin locations will also be closed on Friday 12/2024.

All locations will be closing at 12:00 pm on Tuesday 12/31/2024 and the Knoxville office will also be closing at 12:00 pm on 12/20/2024.

If you or your child has a medical emergency please call 911 or go to the nearest emergency department.

Our on call providers do not have access to schedule/check appointments or send in medications during these times. You may request these through a portal message or request an appointment online from our website and we will respond as promptly as possible when we return to the office.

We love when our patients come visit! Aaron Carter Music we are very proud of you and your huge success.

Many people don’t know, but I shouldn’t be here today. As a kid in the early 2000’s I had major stomach/GI issues and nobody could figure out what those issue were. Dr. Al-Tawil, who at the time was at Children’s Hospital found and fixed the issue. I had more ulcers in my stomach than multiple grown men and was on the verge of turning into something much worse.

I recently found out that he was still here in Knoxville and has since opened his own practice. I decided to swing in today for a visit and it was such a blessing.

Thank You Dr. Al-Tawil, for everything you did for me and my family and those you continue to heal.
