Radiculopathy, AKA a pinched nerve, is when a nerve root in the spine is compressed. This compression often results in pain, muscle weakness, a tingling sensation, and even coordination loss, and loss of bladder control.
Treatment for radiculopathy typically starts conservatively: over-the-counter medications, physical therapy, and injections. If these treatments do not work, surgery may be necessary to relieve the pressure on the nerve.
