"I’m just about to start my IVF meds... is it too late for acupuncture?" 💉
We get this question a lot at the clinic! The short answer: It’s never too late, but there is a "Goldilocks" window for the best results. 🕊️
Here’s the breakdown from our latest blog:
✨ For Egg Retrievals: We recommend starting 1–3 months BEFORE your baseline. Why? Because it takes about 90 days for a follicle to mature. Starting early helps us influence blood flow and nutrient delivery during that critical "pre-antral" phase.
✨ For Frozen Embryo Transfers (FET): Aim for about 4–6 weeks before baseline, or 6-8 weeks prior to transfer. Research shows that 9–11 treatments leading up to the transfer can significantly improve pregnancy rates.
✨ Already started your cycle? Don't panic. Even acupuncture just before and after your transfer has been shown to support success.
The goal isn’t just "getting pregnant"—it’s about optimizing your body so you feel supported every step of the way.
